If you mean a paste like substance with a yellow to cream color, that is likely oil mixing with coolant fluid. Not a good sign at all. It means your engine has a blown gasket or one about to blow. Check the cover of your oil reservoir. simply untwist the cover and look at the inside surface if it has the same substance, then that's what it is, and you better check in with a mechanic in that case, what your options are.
