There is a sensor in the key lock that reads the chip in your key. If the sensor fails or the chip fails the light will come on and the car should not start.
The security light is the reason that the starter is not turning over. The security light indicates a problem in the antitheft system. passenger side underneath glove box, are you sure is the motor itself? becouse if is running only on one speed, is a possibility that you blower resistor pack is out. hope this will help you.
The linear actuator that regulates the blend of air between hot and cold was broken and needed to be replaced. That was my suspicion. Fuses were all good. Relays were all good. Compressor pump cycled. Freon was "proper". Dealership only charged about $400 in parts and labor to confirm my guess.
From under the car, it's located on the passenger side of the motor.
It is straight up and down (well close, therre is a slight angle) towards the back of the block.
