It means evap large leak, most likely a loose gas cap or recently loose cap and car has not been run enough to clear the code. could also have a lagre leak in the evap system but start with the cap

What is code PO 1800 for a 2001 KIA sephia

I already answered this. Smart a** answer is PO 1800 means "Please Offer 1800" (I own a 2012 Kia Optima and love it. )

Go to a major repair shop like Goodyear Auto Center, Merchants Auto, NTB, Firestone Service Center, etc and they will be HAPPtY to tell you what the code means. However, given the age and horrible repair history and owner satisfaction, I would sell it and take the for $1000 I get. Then put that down on a newer, more reliable car. Or, find a $2000 used car and pay cash for a better car, like a 98-2001 Camry or Accord.

We have a kia Sephia year 2000.. We have codes, P0455, and P0422. We have changed the gas cap. We have a check engine light on and need a smog check. We are not totally mechanically inclined but can find...

You may need a shop manual or a shop to fix it.
Code 455 is a large leak in the EVAP system, and code 422 is a problem with the catalytic converter.
The EVAP leak could be any number of things including the gasket on top of the tank for the fuel pump. The gas tank needs to be pressure tested to look for the leak and that takes special equipment.
And the computer does not think the cat is performing within specs based on the readings from the O2 sensors.

What do the codes PO455 and PO128 mean on my kia sephia? I was told my fuel canister is only purchased at dealer that true>

P0455= Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (large leak)
P0128=Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature)

Nothing here says buy a new can!
it could be as simple as turning the gas cap three clicks past tight, that is a very common thing,The other thing shows you should change your thermostat
