Hi, here is a picture that should help you, also details of how to deactivate the system, this is the info for the 2.9 as I don't have any 3.8 listed.

Its suppose to be a warning light but is not always the case.It depends on how far or long you drive it after the warning light comes on.

check your seat belt stork , check wiring to stork ,

yes, you can use the a home remedy to reset it, this tool may be help.

How do you know there's no problem? Maybe the light is warning you correctly that the airbag circuit has a fault!

Due to the Law only Kia dealers can reset air bag lights i have same problem it going cost $100 plus to have it turned off.

reset by code reader but you may have a problem warning lights dont come on for nothing also if you have seatbelt restraints these are connected and it may be one of those, hope its of help.

Take to dealer to investigate hidden damage to sensor, etc.
