Bleed the fuel line at the fuel rail in the engine compartment. On one end is a bleeder screw.

How to bleed the fuel system in the 2009 Mondeo after changing the fuel filter on a diesel

You don't. You just crank the engine until it starts. Modern vehicles work on a pressurised system with a return back to the tank. The fuel is pumped from the tank to the injectors and excess fuel is returned to the tank.

Every primer I have found is at the fuel filter. All the others, I opened an injector fuel line. Crank it till fuel comes out. Then it will start, Takes a minute, but will.

Polo classic 1.4 tdi 2003 model doesn't want to start ...is it possible that the desil filter needs to be replaced..after replacing the desil filter filter how do you bleed the system

i think your car has a fuel low pressure pump in the tank, to check this remove the fuel cap get someone to turn the ignition whilst you put your ear to the filler neck you should hear the pump run, if so all you need to do is switch the ignition on and off 8 or 9 times after you have changed your filter to prime the system, if it has not got a low pressure pump you may need a vacuum pump to prime the system which you connect to the return from the high pressure pump to bleed it, i am sure you will have a low pressure pump in your tank.

My golf 1.9 tdi is miss-firing

Check the fuel lines, fuel filter, what is the mileage? If it is high than it might a sign of injector pump or injectors.

I have a 2002 diesel jetta. I started having

bleed your fuel system. There is usually a bleeder valve on the fuel filter or somewhere round there. You can also disconnect the fuel supply line from the cylinder and try starting until fuel starts flowing out. The glow plugs which serve the same purpose as spark plugs in a gas vehicle need to be replaced. This should fix the problem.

Wher located fuel filter on 2002 5.3 v8 gmc sierra? How can i change fuel filter?

The filter is inside the left frame rail just in front of the gas tank. You need to remove the gas cap and bleed the fuel pressure before opening the system. There is a schrader valve on the fuel rail you can use to bleed any pressure

I changed fuel filter on 02 Duramax know it wont start

There is a priming pump on top of fuel filter assembly. Had to have somebody else pump it while turning the motor over, It fired right up. Was looking for a while for this pump, because it doesnt look like a pump, it is metal on top of fuel filter.

It is self Priming. If it will not Pick up, You probably need to Replace the Fuel Pump.

Priming fuel system on a 8.1L diesel engine 2001chev 1 ton dual

Well, one problem is, if its an 8.1, its not a diesel. The 8.1, or Vortec 8100, is a gas engine. The DuraMax is a 6.6 engine. There is usually not a priming system on a gas engine, because the fuel pumps will usually get it through the smaller filters used quick enough you dont need them. However, if it is a DuraMax engine, then right on top of the fitting where you mount your diesel filter, there is a primer pump and an air bleed valve. What you do is, open up that air bleed valve ( its a little black plastic octagon shaped thing on the top of the filter mount) then you pump the primer (the silver button looking thing) until you get diesel squiting out the air vent without too many air bubbles or gurgles.
