Question about 2007 Hyundai Sonata Limited Sedan

2 Answers

2007 Sonata car alarm(security alarm) randomly goes off--it's happened when it's locked and unlocked and all times of the day. The Keyfob stopped working about 3 weeks ago and then randomly worked now and again. I replaced the battery and the alarm didn't go off for about 2 weeks. Just the other day the alarm went off again and the keyfob didn't work for about half the day and then it worked again on and off- the battery is 2 weeks old now. Would a malufunctioning keyring effect the alarm or is there some faulty wiring?

Take out the battery out of your transmitter(What you call the KeyFob,key ring
and any other transmitter that might be in the family do the same, use your car
car keys to get in and out of the car. This will isolate one problem,if the the alarmstill keeps going off at random times its in the receiver which will have to be fixed
or replaced at the dealership for that make of car.If everything goes back to normal
when you isolated the transmitters,(Then the problem might be the transmitter ,transmitters go bad when they end up in pockets and pocket books
ect, thrown on counter tops and dropped on concrete, also one of the buttons
could be depressed at all times causing a battery drain 24/7,at this point the
transmitter needs replacement(REMOTE ENTRY DEVICE).One more tidbit
on the subject,if you live in a tight community there is a remote possibility some one
else might be on the same frequency with their transmitter

Over sensitive sensor in the car could set it off randomly... bonnet boot, door handles.. one of the motion sensor thingiis, if fitted. the beeper issue could be the position of the incoming sensor of the alarm it self.. if it is an imboliser as well then there is whole other range of issue.. turn it off or at least disconnect the siren.. or you could just pay some one way too money to fix the problem for ya... good luck

After I lock my car, go shopping and unlock the door, my alarm goes off...how can I stop this from happening?

Try unlocking the door manually with the keys. If problem still happens. Your door or hood switch may be defective. They will send a false signal to the alarm that indicates one is open.

I have a 2005 cobalt every time I open the doors the alarm goes off I replaced the battery in keyless entry but they do not work can anyone help?

You may have accidentally broke the controller. They are fragile. The newer cars like yours automatically set the alarm when the doors are locked from keychain remote, or locking manually. New remote, $50-100.

My alarm keeps going off on my 2007 Sonata. Ive located the fuse box but cannot figure out which one disables the alarm or horn until I can have it looked at. As of now I disconnected the battery.

TAKE THE KEY THAT UNLOCKS YOUR CAR DOORS PUT IT IN THE LOCK TURN IT BACK TO THE LEFT AND HOLD IT FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS THIS METHOD USALLY DISARMS THE ALARM.

Car alarm randomly goes off

there is a hood switch located at front passenger side under hood. check to make sure the plunger at hood is pushing the switch completely down. sometimes there may be just enough clearance that a strong wind will set the alarm off.

2004 xtype jaguar key fob suddenly stopped working car locked and alarmed if i use key in the door will the alarm go off if so how do i stop it

Your key fob needs reprogramming, and yes the alarm will go off when you open the door, but you have enough time to put the key in the ignition which will prevent the alarm sounding. Car is usable until you get the fob sorted by locking and unlocking using the key.
