Sounds like your ICM has gone bad and will need to be replaced. They start giving starting problems or at times will stop working when it starts to get hot, and when they fail total. You run in to the issues your are having now.

Good luck and keep us posted and you can have your ICM tested first before replacing just to make sure your not replacing good parts.

Thank you for using fixya

    What is the ICM ??

ICM is the Ignition Control Module. It's located with your coil packs. It's what your coil pack sits on to have them fire in the right order to the spark plugs.

Good luck and please keep us posted at

2003 grand am wont start

you don`t give much info so we`ll assume that it turns over when cranking.check for spark at the plugs.if no spark then have a scan tool hooked up to check for codes and also look at the data stream while trying to start the car this will help in finding the problem.if you have spark then check fuel pressure with a gage.if the pressure is not to specs then you may have a bad fuel can have someone crank the motor while you listen at the fuel tank or gas filler neck with the gas cap off to see if you can hear the fuel pump make a noise.if not you can try hitting the gas tank in the centre bottom while someone is cranking the motor with a hammer.if it starts then the fuel pump is no good.change the fuel filter at the same time.

Cranks no start just died restarted a couple of times now nothing

Check to see if your fuel pump is kicking on. You should hear a buzzing sound for a second or two when you first turn the key. If you don't hear it, check your fuel pump fuse/relay or fuel reset if equipped. It could be a clogged fuel filter. You need to make sure gas is getting fuel to the engine. If it is, then you need to check for spark. It may be because of spark plugs/coils, wires, distributor, dist.cap, rotor, cam sensor, crank sensor, ecm. When you car doesn't start but cranks, there is many things that can cause that. You need to do a spark test and make sure that your getting good spark. It could be the timing belt. You need fuel and spark to start the car.

Car cranks but wont start

replace your injectors. your vehicle is getting the fuel to start from the starter fluid. however the injectors arent giving it the gas that it needs to stay cranked
