Where can I find the maintenance schedule for 30,000 miles on '08 Honda Accord to print out and take it to my mechanic? The one that shows everything that should be done at 30,000 miles? It is out...

Your mechanic should know, 30,000 is not as the important, 60,000, 120,000 is the major maintaince, maintance scheduals are all the same for every car, stop at a shop and ask for a list that is performed, Honda has is , just ask.

Change the Cabin Filter on 2003-up Honda Accord

Want to save yourself some money and change the cabin filter on your 2003 and newer Honda Accord? The dealer will charge you up to $120 to perform this simply 5 minute or less repair which should be done every 30,000 miles at the same time you change the engine air filter. It will cost you nothing more than the price of the cabin filter. Go to any local Auto Repair store in your area and purchase a cabin filter for your Accord. I recommend Purolator or Wix filters as they are quality made. The filter is located behind the glove box and unlike some older Honda Accords is very easy to access and no tools are required to accomplish this repair. Simply watch this video I made and you will know exactly how to accomplish this maintenance.

How many miles to replace 2000 honda accord LX V6 3.0

i am guessing that you are asking about replacing the timing belt on your honda .. if so then here is the replacement schedule

under normal driving 105,000 miles or 84 months
under extreme temp 60,000 miles or every 48 months (hot or cold climates)

its a good idea to change the water pump and tensioner pullies at the same time.. they dont add much to the parts cost ...

basic timing belt kit with pullies

kit with water pump and pullies

its not a good idea to wait for belt failure. interference engines like yours will do a lot of damage if the belt fails.

I have a 2008 Accord with 24,000 miles and have been told the back brake pads need to be replaced. When I called my dealer, I was told that Honda knew there was a problem but did not know what was causing...

Yes, your vehicle needs to use the semi-metal brake pads.

Asbestos has been the best brakepad material; however, asbestos was outlawed last decade. Currently, the best is brakepad is semi-metal. The brakepad is impregnated with brass filings.

All semi-metal brakepads carry a limited lifetime warranty against wear. Purchase a set and compare to the ones on your vehicle.

Maintence required on red

Maintenance Required is a light that comes on after a predetermined number of miles. For example, if the maintenance schedule Honda set for the car calls for an oil change at 3000 miles, a new fan belt at 6000 miles, and another oil change at 9000 miles, then the maintenance required light will come on every 3000 miles and stay on until it is reset by the dealer. Some people, especially those that do their own regular maintenance but don't have a way to reset the light themselves, find this an annoyance. But others find it useful and take their cars in to the dealer every time the light comes on, and they rest assured that all of the regular maintenance is always done on time.

What this light does NOT do however is signal that there is anything immanently wrong with your car. It is not a "Check Engine" light (that's the one you should worry about if it ever comes on), but merely a reminder for you to do preventative maintenance. That doesn't mean you should *ignore* it, per se, as you want to make sure you have your car on some kind of maintenance schedule, even if yours is not as strict as Honda's. But there is no need to panic.

1999 Accord Coupe V6 A/T Prolem

That transaxle has long been a problem for Honda & they have NEVER really properly engineered it to be free of defects Unfortunately. I had a similar problem at around 66,000 miles with my V6 Accord EXL Coupe & at that time Honda did the right thing and repaired the transmission but made me pay for the labor (a fair yet semi-expensive) fix but reasonable. Then more recently around 152,400 miles the transmission failed again & began slipping. I had asked for Honda to do another fix of the transmission & I pay for the labor BUT they refused. I find it sad when a major company does not stand behind a product they know has had defects & issues throughout the entire product line of the V6 Accord & Odyssey (which use the same transaxle) & instead states from the warranty booklet (which I understand but think a Honda vehicle should last for several hundred thousand miles) especially when the owner followed & follows all of the recommended preventative maintenance in the service handbook from Honda...especially when the car looks like it is brand new & now it has a New Transmission too...no thanks to Honda corporate :)

When im going to change the timming belt i hve 156,000 miles

look in the owners manual and under maintenance it should tell you when to check or change this. Also you can call a Honda dealer and they can advise you of the right time to change just ask for the service department and ask the service shop foreman.

Timing belt on Accord 2004 v6 models

2003 and up Honda Accord with 4 cylinder engines do indeed have a chain and the V6 has a belt which must be replaced at 110,000 miles. Why? Ask Honda, they designed the engines.

Maintenance Required won't go off on a 2002 Accord?!

Hi. If this is the original timing belt on this vehicle, i would recommend changing it as soon as possible. a worn timing belt can cause issues in timing and it can also bend the valve assembly if the belts teeth become shorten or bare. This service light can be reset but, it will continue to come on in intervals until you preform the diagnostic scan and repair the parts that are highlighted by the cpu. I seriously recommend that this car be driven to a dealership for a quick scan so that you can prevent any serious damage that may occur.

Please rate and god bless:)
