FRONT BLOWER MOTOR IS OUT. SAYS TO CHECK WIRES, WHICH ONES, WHAT COLOR? SAYS TO CHECK RESISTOR UNDER INSTRUMENT PANEL, ON RIGHT SIDE, I CANNOT LOCATEIT.

Update to the problem with the ac motor making noise; i found that a small plastic bag i had in the glove box has been sucked up into the fan motor how do i get it out


Removal & Installation
  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. If equipped, remove the instrument panel silencer from the passenger side of the instrument panel.
  3. Remove the glove box from the instrument panel.
  4. Disconnect the blower motor wire harness connector (1) from the blower motor power module or resistor (2), depending on how equipped.

    Disconnect the blower motor wire harness connector (1) from the blower motor power module or resistor (2)

  5. Remove the three screws (3) that secure the blower motor (4) to the HVAC housing (5).
  6. Remove the blower motor from the HVAC housing.

To install:

  1. Position the blower motor into the HVAC housing.
  2. Install the three screws that secure the blower motor to the HVAC housing.
  3. Connect the wire harness connector to the blower motor power module or resistor, depending on how equipped.
  4. Install the glove box into the instrument panel.
  5. If equipped, install the instrument panel silencer onto the passenger side of the instrument panel.
  6. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

Where is the blower motor and resistor located on a2006 trailblazer


{: ) The front blower motor is located beneath the right side of the Instrument Panel (dashboard), just behind the glovebox. The resistor is just on the near left, mounted on the HVAC casing. Just trace the wire from the blower motor and the other end will lead you to the resistor block.

Where is the blower resistor located to replace the part?


Hi, the manual says it's on the blower:
  1. Remove the front floor kick-up panel.
  2. Remove the cover from the I/P electrical center.
  3. Remove the BLO MOT (blower motor) MaxiFuse No. 49 from the I/P electrical center.
  4. Remove the right side instrument panel lower insulator panel.
  5. Disconnect the blower motor resistor electrical connector from the blower motor.

I have a 2000 grand prix 3.8 with heater problems. i have changed the heater core, thermostat, resister, blower, the 2 relay switches and heater fan. there still is very little air coming thru.. any...


The blend door may not be working properly. It is actuated by a vacuum motor.

Blower Motor Control Module Removal & Installation To Remove:
  1. Remove the insulator from the right side of the instrument panel.
  2. Disconnect the connectors from the blower motor resistor and blower motor.
  3. Loosen the two forward screws and remove the rear screw of the resistor assembly.
  4. Remove the blower motor resistor assembly.
To Install:
Install the blower motor resistor assembly. Install the rear screw and tighten the forward screws. Connect the electrical connectors to the blower motor and resistor assembly. Install the insulator under the right side of the instrument panel.

REMOVE GLOVE BOX ASSEMBLY LOWER RIGHT SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM COVER AND RIGHT COWL TRIM PANEL. WHEN YOU WILL SEE BLOWER WIRES THATS WHERE YOUR RESISTOR LOCATED. DISCONNECT BLOWER MOTOR WIRES THEN REMOVE RESISTOR.

It will be up under the dash on the passenger side near the blower motor. It will have 5 or six wires in its connector

Blower Motor Removal & Installation To Remove:
WARNING
On vehicles equipped with airbags, disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative (ground) cable, wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only certain procedure for disabling the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions could result in an accidental airbag deployment and possible vehicle damage and personal injury.
Negative Battery Cable Remote Terminal dod_intrpd_bttry_rmt_termnl.gif

  1. Remove or disconnect the following:
    • The negative battery cable remote terminal from the remote battery post
    • The lower right under panel duct
    • The blower motor connector from the blower motor resistor block/power module
    • The blower motor wiring grommet
      1. squeeze and push the grommet through the blower motor housing cover
    • The blower motor housing cover
    • The blower motor retaining screws
    • The blower motor by lowering from housing
To Install:
  1. Install or connect the following:
    • The blower motor in the HVAC housing and tighten the mounting screws
      1. Torque to: 20 inch. lbs. (2.2 Nm)
    • The blower motor housing cover
    • The blower motor wiring grommet in the blower motor housing cover
    • The blower motor harness connector to the blower motor resistor block/power module
    • The lower right under panel duct
    • The negative battery cable remote terminal to the remote battery post

Air and heat wont work unless blower is on high, where do i find the regulator to change it


Sound like the blower motor resistor is bad.
