You need to stop trying to drive it, or it will burn the clutch plates in the transmission, add transmission fluid, start engine, look around for leak's, if leaking between motor and transmission, bad front pump transmission seal, if not leaking there, check transmission hoses.

Don't drive it without the transmission fluid, It will tear it up if it hasn't already.

Hey Jose,
Have you made sure you have the transmission is full of fluid..check it with the engine running ...USE ONLY transmission fluid! ...You did not mention the make/model and mileage. It might be time for a transmission overhaul....see a qualified professional..

Black fluid coming from back driver side tire. truck will not move forward or backward

the fluid you are seeing if its coming from where you say.Is fluid from the deferential axle meaning a seal is leaking or it also could be a brake fluid leak from the wheel cylinder.none of this will keep your truck from moving unless your fluid is coming from the transmission, that will keep it from moving if its low assuming you drive an automatic.

2001 Isuzu Rodeo Sport will not go forward in drive

whats the fluid smell like? when was the last time it was serviced? where is fluid on stick when hot? low on fluid could do what you discribed, but chances are trans needs rebuilt. if fluid smells burnt, rebuild or replacement.
