Sounds to me like you need a new ignition switch. Take the vehicle to a mechanic and have them further evaluate.

most aftermarket alarms have a valet button and in the case of lost or broken key fob the button can be held or pressed when the ignition is turned on the turn alarm off. if it is a factory installed system usually opening driver door with the key will disarm it

hi Charlotte
you could try getting the battery on the vehicle dissconected and left for about 5 mins, then reconnect it this should set off the alarm, then you just press the button on the remote and it should be back to normal, if it does not set the alarm off, try it again till the alarm does go off, then try the button on the remote...hpe that helps

I changed the batteries on my F350. This set the alarm off on the truck. I cannot get it to turn off. I finally had to cut the wires to the siren. The lights still flash for a minute or longer everytime...

If it is a Ford Factory Alarm it should have key FOBS (remotes). Just press the unlock button 2 times and that should stop it. Alarm systems no matter what brand always have remotes. If you have remotes pressing the unlock should disarm the system 99 times out of 100. If that doesn't work then either the battery in the remote is dead, or the remote is broken. Hope this helps. Lock all the doors from the inside (with all the doors closed), unlock your driver's door by manually lifting the lock, then press it back down after you are out - this will prevent the alarm from sounding when you use the key to unlock the door.
