The most common cause of dash problems is either bad dash ground, or alternator spikes from a bad engine ground.
In this case I would just add more ground wires, just to be sure.
The dash is usually plastic so needs it own dedicated ground wire.
Then engine is mounted on rubber, so it needs a big ground strap.
The alternator usually has its own ground, but if it goes to the engine, there may still be a need for an additional ground.
Otherwise there is no way I know of to catch an intermittent that does not set a code.

Its probably that you have any electrical problem in the circuits from/to Smart Box of Fuse Box (underdash), I suggest check all fuses (and replace it, if is necessary) and check all wires connections around this system for any loss or ground connection.

For details about the FUSES description and locations, can read in this LINK the 1996 Ford Ranger - Owners Manual (page 307 and next).

Hope helps.

Are you check for any problem with the alternator and voltage regulator? I dont know exactly what is the 4/4 plug to connected to the pannel-box. Keep in touch.

Hi, the abs light coming up can be caused from bad hydraulic valves, loss of brake fluid and pressure, or simply an emergency brake not registering that it is off.

You have to check your emergency brake, you might be loosing hydraulic pressure and check your hydraulic circuits to correct the problem.

The main thing to know in this situation is that if the light remains on and you have checked through all the systems and it does not go off, you will want to get it checked professionally to prevent serious injury or death when operating the vehicle. An ABS brake repair will be needed as a repair shop can check the entire system for leakages or cracks in the brake fluid reservoir and lines which could be the source of your pressure loss.

Sometimes limited driving can affect the front brake pads and rotors due to corrosion, and dirt...inspect the pads for being worn unevenly...and the rotors for warping...the rotors would also cause the steering wheel to shake when applying the brakes...A small fix for a nice low mileage Ranger:) Hope this helps.

I have a ford ranger 2.5 4x4 of 2007. The diff lock light keeps flashing while driving.

When the light flashes it usually means it is set to engage, but hasn't done so yet. I would checking the wiring and piping at the differentials...one might have come loose.

Low tire pressure tight is on and i checked the tires and pressure is fine. how do i get the light to go ouy

If all tires are properly inflated you have a bad tire pressure monitor. It is connected to the valve stem inside of the wheel. Need to go to tire store or repair center that has a tire pressure monitor scan tool. It will tell which sensor needs to be replaced.

Check your spare tire also. It has a transmitter. And yes you can buy at some tire stores. Not all carry them.

LOOKING FOR THE BEST WAY TO LIFT A 2007 FORD RANGER FX4 ROUGHLY A 2" LIFT FRONT AND REAR.

Go for a supension lift. Rancho and skyjacker are two of my favorites. A body lift will allow for bigger tires but you can run into shift linkage problems. With a suspesion lift you get the bigger tires without having to modify little else

2007 Ford Ranger

Hi, I also own a 2007 Ford Ranger. That's the TPMS light. It's telling you the tire pressure is low. Check the tire pressure and if make sure it's where it needs to be (there's a sticker in the door jamb that tells you what the tire pressure should be set to.

Oh, and I found a PDF copy of the 2007 Ranger owners manual here - http://www.fordf150.net/2007/
