If i have to go to my Audi dealer, i don't need your assistance anymore. So cancel my order and my credit card!

    Thanks anyway.

It's to late, i did it by myself. The problem was exactly those run strip (part #4B0837463B). One of them was broken wher the cable is attached. So the window was lifting only by one side ans that was the reason why it was so hard to pull up.

It was not the rubber and it was not the motor...

So, you did not give me the solution to solve my problem.

No, they did not give me the rubber guide and i don't think i need it.
The problem is presently corrected. I had to replace the part 4B0937463B, where the window cable is attached to this part. One was broked and it's working fine now.

Sometimes the rubber seal on the window is so tight that it grabs the window. Usually it doesn't matter how tight the seal is if the motor is good and strong. Sounds like your window motor is getting weak and will eventually have to be replaced.

To access the window motor and cable which also can be binded up. You will need remove all the screws in the door panel. Look for any hidden screws to remove as well. There usually is some behind little plastic covers you can pry off.
Once all the screws are removed, you can gently pry the door panel off. Once door panel is loose and lifted off, you can then remove the plastic weathering behind the panel. Now you will have access to the motor. The motor is usually held on by two bolts that can be removed. Then the end usually has a cap to unscrew to release it from the cable.

Like I said, check the end cap where the cable attaches too. Glad you got it figured out. Thanks for trying Fixya

I can get the diagram if you need it. I have seen a few out there. Do check the rails. Make sure they are not bent or damaged. Make sure rubber is not sticking and that power is getting to the motor. You can check the resistance of the motor with an ohmmeter. Make sure window track is not obstructed as well.

I might refer you to alldata.com for that. They have online manuals based on Chilton manuals that may tell you how exactly to do this and they probably have diagrams.

Or, you could pickup a Chilton or Hayne's manual for your vehicle at your local auto parts store.

My online resource doesn't cover the body portion of the Audi A6 Quattro 2.7T.

Good luck on this repair.

Hi! Actually it will be easy. Did they give you the rubber guide where the window passes?

Since you were there purchasing these parts a copy of the diagram would of help you out. I sure would of asked for one. These run strip channels are simply removed and replaced. The hard part is tearing the door trim apart without ruining it

Audi A6 2001 quattro 2.8 mysterious over heating

Yes, replace the thermostat. Then you need to 'burp the coolant system'. Your car has all the hallmarks of air in the system, especially a heater that is cold. This is because there is no water in the heater matrix. This is why it overheats. The system must be full and with no air to circulate correctly through the radiator.

Burping involves the following steps.

Remove the lid to the reservoir, remove the radiator cap, fill the radiator to the top, turn heating on full blast, start engine and get to operating temperature, keep topping up. Squeezing the radiator hoses helps. The level will rise and then drop when the thermostat opens. Top up when bubbles stop and the level becomes constant. Put radiator cap on, top up the reservoir and put the cap on that.
