Where is the mass airflow sensor on opel zafira 2.2

On the 2.2 zafira, z22se engine. There is no MAF sensor. Which is why you can not find it.
Instead it uses a combination of the IAT (Intake Air Temp) and the MAP (Manifold Air Pressure) sensors. The IAT is the small plastic sensor on the side of the intake duct. The MAP sensor is just after the throttle body. You need to take the whole throttle body off to get at it.

Car bogs down epc light comes on, then goes off car runs then normally, I replaced mass air flow, front and back 02 sensors, but continues to bog and epc light goes on and off

epc is short for electronic pedal control, the throttle is controlled by an electric motor and has two angle sensors in the throttle body. the pedal it self has two sensors as well, sometimes after a battery replacement or replacement of certain parts (ecm throttle body pedal controls) the control modules need to be reset or "relearned" to one another. the dealer or independent shop with correct softwear can do this, if problem persists possible bad throttle body pedal sensors or ecm (engine control module)

I started to clean my throttle body earlier and was under the impression you were supposed to remove the mass air-flow sensor first so it doesn't get ruined. I removed the air intake parts to get at...

You are at the right area in order to acess the throttle body you need to remove the air filter housing and that is were your mass air flow is at it is a good practice to clean the mass air flow when you replace the air filter you dont need to have the vehicle running to clean the throttle body plus it wont even run with the air duct removed anyway just spray thhe throttle body opening the plate manually go ahead and spray clean the mass air flow remeber do this with key out engine off.when you are done reassemble now if the check engine lcomes on re inspect and make sure you assembled correctly you will set of the check engine light give it 2 cold start up and it will clear itself.by the way you dont need to disconnect the battery

2001 kia optima hesitates on acceleration gets better when warm, but still does it, has 2.4 engine

3 possible problems your mass are flow meter/senso could be going bad but not bad enough to register a fault, the same for your idle air valve and also your throttle position sensor. all 3 of these are on your throttle body .
with the engine running tap the side of the mass air flow with the back of a screw driver, if the engine sputers mass air flow needs replaced.you can try cleaning it with some mass air flow cleaner if you cant find that at your auto parts store get some electrical parts wash. your idle air valve needs to be cleaned or replaced there hard to get off. your throttle position sensor , you need to know the setting ,if the auto parts store cant give you aprint out of instuctions best to let a kia dealership do it and pay out the ****.

Mass air what is it and where is it

The mass airflow sensor on your car is likely mounted in the throttle body or in another position between the throttle body and the outlet side of the air intake filter. It is a device that measures the volume of the air coming into the motor and relays that measurement in real time to the engine computer, so that the proper air to fuel ratio will be used.

1991 toyota pickup dies when you release the gas pedal

There are couple of things I would check out that would cause this problem.

1. The Mass Air Flow Sensor. It measures how much air is going into the engine. Should be located on top of air filter box.

2. The air tube that goes from the Mass Air Flow Sensor to the throttle body. Check for leaks that would bypass air from going through the Mass Air Flow Sensor.

3. The Throttle Position Sensor. Located on the throttle body. This tells the computer what position the butterfly plate is on the throttle body. You control this plate with the gas pedal..

Oily foam in rocker cover breather pipe

if it has been over heated, problem is head gasket... When it's cold, remove the radiator filler cap.... watch for bubbles, and look for heavy sweet smelling exhaust (this is not always typical). You also may just have alot of blowbye oil.... especially considering the mileage... i would recommend a quality remanufactured long block
