Yes it is, basicaly because there is no valve cover gasket. if it leaks from the seem that would look like a valve cover leak then you have to pull off the top plate wich is actually the upper cam bearing. special tools are needed to remove or you WILL bust the front camshaft thrust plates off. they are part of the head
