Only if the system is leaking, and it is brake fluid into the master cylinder for the manual clutch. If the clutch hydraulic system is leaking either the master or slave has failed, and there should be a fluid stain trail somewhere. You may well be able to do this type of repair yourself with a few tools and an afternoon, or it could be damn near impossible without a lift. I would look on ebay for new replacement parts before I bought from a dealer.

If it has a manual transmission, your clutch is worn all the way down. If it is an automatic transmission, your transmission needs repair, or is low on fluid.

How many quarts of transmission fluid for a 95 honda passport?

Generally speaking, we start with 4 quarts when the filter is changed and add until the stick shows it to be full.
The total capacity would include draining the torque converter which is seldom done.
Does it show overfull on the stick ?

I have a 1996 Honda Passport with an automatic transmission I now know how to check the transmission fluid but I don't know how to put fluid in please advise me how to put in the transmission fluid.

  1. check fluid while running in park or neutral
  2. wipe stick off put back in check again look at both sides of stick
  3. if need to add put fluid in tube where the stick goes
  4. only add what you need check again

How do I adjust clutch on 1995 Honda Passport?

You don't. They are hydraulic. Check the slave cylinder for leaks or if you need to fill the reservoir. You might need to bleed the system if it continues and you find no leaks.

Need to know how to bleed clutch of 1995 honda passport. Do- it - yourself instructions. The clutch pedal is pushed down with no resistance at all. Once pushed down i can start the car but the clutch will...

Fill the clutch reservoir with new brake fluid and kneel down beside the car, reach in with your hand and pump the clutch pedal up and down until it starts to return on it's own. Check the reservoir level, hop in the car and pump the pedal about twenty times with you foot, the clutch will self bleed and you'll be able to shift. If there is a leak somewhere, this problem will reoccur until the cause of the leak is fixed.

CLUTCH

That clutch can bled by using the bleed screw located just aft of the engine/tranny union where the clutch line enters the tranny. Loosen the screw and also loosen the cap on the hydraulic clutch reservoir. watch for fluid trickling out from the transmission end of the line, when this is confirmed, than close the bleed screw, cover the resevoir, make sure theres enough fluid, and pump on the clutch pedal a few times. You can repeat these steps again if necessary to remove and extra air trapped in the system.
