I have a 2006 Malibu 2.2 4 coils miss on number 3

You may have a coil failure or spark plug failure on #3. Swap coil and plug of cyl#2 with cyl#3 and see if problem moves to cyl#2. If so, it will be a plug or coil. I wouls recommend changing both

Chevy malibu 2005 3.5 a/c orface tube location

Yours has a

thermal expansion valve (TXV). no orifice tube . look at fire wall where the a/c pipes go in look for this part .

The thermal expansion valve is located in the liquid line between the condenser and the evaporator. The thermal expansion valve is the dividing point for the high and the low pressure sides of the A/C system. As the refrigerant passes through the thermal expansion valve, the pressure of the refrigerant is lowered. Due to the pressure differential of the liquid refrigerant, the refrigerant will begin to vaporize at the thermal expansion valve. The thermal expansion valve also meters the amount of liquid refrigerant that can flow into the evaporator.

Where is on a 03 chevy malibu the A/C expansion valve

Your model does not use an expansion valve. It has an orifice tube in one of the metal lines that converts the gas to liquid.
If the orifice tube is blocked it would be at the edge of the frost.
Could also be a restricted air flow thru the radiator or the evap core inside the car.

My 2006 chevy malibu Maxx runs great, but about once a week starts hard.

The first test will be to see which cyl the missfire is coming from. When you have isolated the cyl first rem the plug and swop it out with a new one.If the problem is still there the inj of that cyl must be removed and tested for over fueling. If the missfire cant be isolated to a specific cyl you can check the water temp sensor which if faulty will cause the injection system to over fuel under certain conditions.

Suspect 99 malibu broken timing belt

If its a 99 4 cyl 2.4 ltr it should have a timing chain. Check your PCV (positive Crankcase Ventilation) Valve. it should rattle when you shake it. sometimes you can clean it with carb cleaner. but for what they cost, just go buy a new one. When they plug up it doesn't let your crankcase breathe and you will start getting oil in your throttle body or carb. Gas engines don't like to run on oil for the combustion process.4 cyl engines dont have a pcv valve just the v6 motor...
