Window regulator needs to be checked to see if the cable is okay; if not it would need repair.

There is a nylon peg that holds the window to the regulator. You need to use a 1/8 in.pin punch to remove the peg.But you have to get the window up far enough where the peg lines up with the hole in the regulator. You will have to replace the regulator. If you put the cable back on it will just fall back off.Hope this helps.Good luck.
It is glued in, you will need a window removal tool. This job is best done at a glass shop. But you can buy the tool on a tool truck or make your own from a thin cable.
On my 2000 bville, all four of my windows came off. All four had the
same problem. the upper and lower cables go around the pulleys then
connect to a plastic piece connected to the track. This plastic piece
breaks and lets the cable free. I fixed them all by removing motor
assembly and reconnecting the cable with coat hangar wire. Kind of a
redneck fix, I know, but beat paying 160 dollars per window for a new
assembly that would probably break again!! Good luck!!
unfortunatly there is no diagram or actual repair for a window regulator. the only fix is to replace the regualtor assembly. ive replaced hundreds of them at the jeep/chrysler/dodge dealer i work at
For a Temp fix take it to a local glass tint shop and ask them to wire it up for you so people cant steal it. But the cable broke or the metal clamp that attaches to the bottom of the glass came off (if thats the case get some plumers goup or any other glue that stays flexible when it drys and try glueing it back to the bottom of the glass) I have a 97 Lincoln Presidental TC that happen to both my rear windows and I was able to glue the assimbaly back together for a quick fix, good luck
