Check your battery connections at the starter. It may not be getting the needed volts. Just make sure they're clean and tight at the starter and the battery both. Good luck!

My '97 Geo Metro LSi will not start. When I turn the ignition key on the buzzer, idiot lights, lights, horn, etc., everything electrical will work. If I turn ignition key to start, there is absolutely no...

It could be the starter, test the small wire going to the starter, it should have power when turning the key to start/crank. If it does, and the starter will not crank the engine, whack it with a hammer, if it then starts, replace the starter. If there is no power to the starter, then it could be the ignition switch, or the neutral switch, or a fuse/link blown.

Automatic Transmission 97 metro

Hi:
Specifically, you remove the transmission dipstick and use a narrow funnel to pour transmission fluid in the transmission till it is full. Remember to check your fluid level after the transmission is warmed up, and the car is running, gearshift in Park.

1991 geo metro intermittant starting

If the dash lights stay on and do not dim when you turn the key, (if the lights dim it's likely a bad starter) it could still be the solenoid on the starter (the + battery cable attaches to it) getting stuck, but there are a couple of other things to check. I would start (no pun intended) by putting a voltage tester on the stud for the switch wire (the small wire) at the solenoid and check if there is voltage to the solenoid. If there is, and the starter doesn't crank, it's likely the solenoid. If there's no power to the solenoid, I would trace the switch wire back checking for bad connections and then check the clutch switch. The clutch switch is under the dash aligned with the top of clutch pedal arm so that it is pushed in when the clutch pedal is pushed. It is a safety interlock to keep the car from starting if the clutch is out, but mine has occasionally not made contact. You can check it by using a DMM to do a continuity test when the button is pushed.

Some it starts

my 97 geo metro will not start when I turn the ignition key. The radio will work, buzzer etc. I can jump it with another car and it will start and run. If I turn ignition key to start, there is absolutely no crank, no click, no nothing. Could this be ignition module, bad battery, voltage regulator, starter?

Geo metro 97. Runs great for a day then wont start the next

Your timing belt is worn out. Some days it runs good because the cogs are lined up. The next time you start it, it maybe backfires just a touch, and it's out of time. Today, it's really out. Or maybe even broken.

Turn signals dont work 97 Geo Metro

There is probably something shorting the front turn signal wires; the car is supposed to turn the signal light circut on and leave it on if it detects a burned out light bulb. The flashers, however, are supposed to work normally no matter what happens.
Hope this helps!
