Smoke is a bad sign, this is too serious a problem to try to remotely diagnose, and may be too much for you to try to repair yourself. I think you need to have a mechanic look at.

The clicking you hear it the starter engaging the flywheel but not rotating it - the starter motor has failed. It must be replaced.

smoke means that you have a massive short and the wiring harness overheated. Find it out and fix it.

  • lisa ramirez Sep 01, 2010

    How do I find it

  • Azrael SRL Sep 01, 2010

Just look after them, you can't miss a melted wire.

  • lisa ramirez Sep 02, 2010

I checked all over for any melted wires and there was none nor was there any sign of any fire or smoked damage. Do u think it could've been a short from the stereo wiring?

  • Azrael SRL Sep 02, 2010

A short that melted some wire occurred somewhere - the stereo is as good as a suspect as any other part that can draw enough power. Check the wires.

93 Plymouth Voyager will not start, the Fuel Pump isn't whirring when the key is turned.

You should always hear the pump. Check the electrical connections after you check to fuse.

My 93 plymouth voyager won't start unless I spray starting fluid down air cleaner, then it only runs a few seconds.

Listen for fuel pump when turning ignition to on position. If no pump sound, locate fuel pump fuse and relay in box under hood. First check fuse, then listen to relay while ignition is turned to on. Relay should click. If no click, replace relay. If click, circuits are good and pump is likely bad. Please reply if you have questions.

Ignition key wont turn on 2000 plymouth voyager

I don't believe there is a way you can start it without turning the tumbler on the key switch. You also have a locking steering wheel which would also have to be disabled in order to drive it.

98 PLYMOUTH GRAND VOYAGER WONT START - BLOWS ENG FUSE - HELP

You have a shorted engine harness, this is not common but it does happen, heat and engine movement cause damage to the harness, this is most common on hi miler cars and vans, the only way to fix it is to start by looking anywhere the harness rubs, that is where the damage occurs.
