There is no solution needed, this is normal and NECESSARY. It is temprature controlled, and you want it to cool.

Hi DocPlayer, Thanks for the information. My concern is that it runs even when I'm driving and when I stop it's very loud and continues to run for several minutes after I turn the engine off. I have owned this car since it was new and I never heard the fan running like this before???

Blower continues running after car is shut off

Which blower?

Lots of manufacturers have wired the electric radiator cooling fan circuit to the battery direct rather than through the ignition switch controlled supply.

Cars of this type often have the fan running for several minutes after switching off and the fan can restart again later for a short time as the mass of the engine continues to release heat into the coolant and the thermo-syphon action causes circulation.

Why does my fan keep running in my 2003 Volvo S 60 after the car is off?

It can be faulty fan relay. The relay is not turning the system off.Or its wire short issue.Even with ignition off ,the fan relay is getting power so its not letting the fan to turn off.Bypass the fan control relay and see if still the fan works with ignition off or not.

Cooling fan continues to run after engine shut off.

The fan runs for a short time, after ignition off, to continue to cool the hot engine.

When i turn off the car the fan continues to run?

Many cars have this feature. The fan will run for a few minutes at a time until the coolant in the radiator drops below a certain temperature. Most vehicles with this feature will have a warning label on the radiator shroud indicating that the fan may start without warning when the engine or radiator is still hot. The only time you would need to be concerned would be if the fan continues to run without turning itself off, and causing the battery to be drained.

Why does my radiator cooling fan remain on after I turn off the ignition?

The car has a computer that is linked to the engine. It is hard wired to it meaning the computer is always on. Upon shutting your engine off taking the keys in hand the computer is still on sensing the engines temperture. The coolant sensor will send power to the relay to keep the fans running untill cooled down enough. Then the sensor will cut off power to the relay shutting off the fans

Radiator fan won't turn off. car not overheating.

It could be the program in the ECM where it may run for a few min before it's commanded by the ECM to shut down or the other thing is the radiator fan Relay may be bad and is sticking in the close loop position and needs to be replaced. A bad Relay may get stuck in the open loop and your not going to have an cool fan working, causing overheating in stop and go traffic. Good luck and hope this helps.
