Question about 1995 Honda Accord

1 Answer

My 95 Honda Accord just quit running. It acts like it wants to start, but it will not. I don't think it's getting spark. I don't think it's a gas problem. The battery has enough juice to try to turn it over. What do you think? I was maybe thinking distributor cap or timing issues?

I would suggest spraying starting fluid in the air cleaner. If it starts then it is a fuel problem. If not, you can completely rule fuel out. Being that old I hope that you have replaced the timing belt. The timing belt could have jumped time. That would cause the problem also.

I hope this helps you!! If so please click YES! Thanks!

1994 Honda accord ex is getting gas and spark spins and flutters but won't grab and start A relay behind the dash sound like on the passenger side was clicking and the dashboard was acting a LILwacky

The "wacky" dashboard could be a failing electrical section ignition switch. This could be causing the no start condition. Having spark doesn't mean it is in time, check cam timing and distributor timing, is it installed correctly and is the distributor rotor good? A common failure is a bad rotor.

83 honda accord it acts like it is out of gas but there is plenty. It turns over good but just wont start

Do you know if there is gas in the carb ?
1982 and 1983 Honda Accord models use an electric pump.
If there is no fuel in the carb you'll need to find out if the pump is working.
Also make sure it is getting spark to the plugs.

I have a 95 honda accord and i think my gas gauge is acting kinda funny cause one day it would be full then the next day it at a half a tank need help plz

You might have a problem with your fuel sending unit. You have to remove your rear seat-back and the spare tire cover. Then remove the access panel cover. good luck

Engine shuts off if gas isnt pumped.

Your problem could have many sources, but I would start by having your fuel pressure checked, especially under load. It sounds very much like your fuel pump is failing. Quite typically fuel pumps will run fine, then not fine, then fine again. Very often they act up while the engine is under load, such as climbing a significant hill, or accelerating suddenly.
Hope this helps you find the problem.

1995 Honda Accord will not start

First you must check to see what missing. You must have spark at the pugs and gas at the injector for this car to start. See whats missing and get back to me. The 1995 Honda Accord has a history of bad distributor. If there is no spark at the spark plugs replace distributor. However on some models the coil is separate and not in the distributor, if so make sure the coil is working.
