Two fault areas can be thought of as the first step and that is to check the fuel and spark.
Check the fuel pressure if not tuned do a calibration.
Check on the electrics, check the spark if there is a break on higher RPM . So rev up engine and check the stability of the spark. If Ok check the fuel line , which can be the fault area as it refuses to supply the fuel requested on the throttle.
