The power cable from the alternator is not connected to the red battery cable right male shire. The cables alright from the terminal on driver side terminal just in front of hold hinge. Thick black wire should go to cable positive and have power 12 volts even wen motors off as when rite connection it's to positive Post (bolt side post)on battery. Had this problem myself it had a ring with wire but it set on battery sideways wasn't connected rite so I put wire (alyonator) on the aftermarket lead clamp that fixed it could charge cause it connected then hope this helps

Did you clean the battery posts? A dirty connection will cause a loss of charging. If the conections are clean have your battery tested at a local auto parts store.

Battery good, cables good, all connections clean and tight, no corrosion on battery terminals?
Try to determine if click is from solenoid on the starter or starter relay. Turn the headlights on and watch them while someone turns the key to start. If they get dim, probably the starter-have it tested-even new ones are sometimes bad. If lights don't dim, you will need to check the start circuit. Check for power on the small wire to starter solenoid when key is held in start. If no power there, work back towards the ignition switch. Check the neutral safety switch-should have power in and power out when key held in crank. The ignition switch will have a start wire out of the switch going to the neutral safety switch. It should have power with key in start, the only time the start wire will have power.
Post back with what you find-good luck.

97 lumina voltslight comes on headlights dim car shuts off like you turned it off will start back up

My first thought is a loose connection or a problem with the key switch.
If the alternator looses power from the key it will stop charging.
But if the battery actually drops below 11 volts it won't come back to life until it is charged.
You may have to take a meter with you and check connections when it dies.

you most likely have a lose or bad connection. clean and tighten clamps on battery. push them down and wiggle them while lose then tighten.

No power to 2000 F 250 7.3 diesel after changing positive battery cables

Did you check both the positive and negative battery cables? The two fuses on the right are voltage for ignition switch. Use a test light, see if the fuse circuits are hot? Should be hot all the time. There are fusible links involved, also. The battery junction box is under the hood.

The radio on my car powers on and off while driving. If the headlights are on while the radio is on then the headlights and interior lights will flicker as well. Could it be time to replace the battery?...

Well, while the engine is running (especially above idle), the alternator should put out enough power to keep everything running even without the battery. It's possible you have a bad connection somewhere, especially between the alternator and battery.
I would start by removing the battery cables (negative first) and clean the posts and cable clamps. Make sure the battery is full of water (if the caps are removable), be careful and wear eye protection etc. Connect the positive cable first, negative last.
If the battery is 3+ years old, it might be getting time to replace anyway, but I don't think that is your problem.

get a12 volt test light remove negitive cable from battery attach clip on test light to negitive cable removed from battery. touch other end of test light to negitive side of battery if light is on something in car is pulling power if light is off everything is turned off you can test this if light is off by turning on the headlights the test light should stay lit until you turn off headlight switch. If light is on when fistr connecting to battery turn every thing off in car or disconnect anything includeing trunk or under hood lights one at a time until test light is no longer lit. if this is not the problem load test battery.

Investigate the battery and the alternator.
The battery's only job is to start the car.
The alternator's job is to power the electrical supply for the car.

The battery can go bad at any time, and the alternator is probably is putting out only enough electricity to only keep the car running. And not enough to power charge the battery and power the headlights.
