Is the car worthy of purchase in the second and car market>

the quality of a second hand car depends largely on the previous owner and service history
forum advice is always biased as to like /dislike of the car so be well informed
have it inspected by your car club ( nrma, racq, racv etc , do a check on a government data base to see it has been flooded, do a check though you insurance data base to see if it has been damaged / written off
if the car is not part of a service dealer chain with a record available but from a small car yard be very much aware of problems being hidden.
in other words, --ignore the bright shiny looks and get all the facts about the car that you can before you part with hard earned cash

How do i start and drive my 2005 commadore vz i have lost keys

You will not be able to use the car without purchasing a new key.

Contact a Holden dealer Service or Parts Department and ask them about purchasing a new key . You will probably need to supply them with the Vehicle ID number (VIN) and proof of ownership. They may require the car to program the new key to your car. They will advise you what is required when you contact them.

Thank you Thomas. I forgot to mention I purchased the car from a dealer who said he just got it in from Chrysler because he is a `good' dealer?

see if you can get the service log book for services or get a record from the dealer where the services were done

might be in the glove box

the service log will reveal the speedo reading

I believe that it is illegal to interfere with the speedo reading when offering a car for resale and you should chase it up

if the speedo has been altered then the true mileage is a guess as it could be 100.000 more than on the clock

I feel that you should research the car and speak to the original owner or company as they will also have records of the services

Much as you love it , that feeling will vanish when you find out that it was really a lemon passed on by sneaky salesmen

Maintenance Required message on. Purchased

this light can come on even thought service is not actually due. if the service was performed and the light was not on at the time, sometimes you cannot reset them if they are not actually lit, or 99% of the time the technician forgets if the light was not on. stop by your shop and they can reset it for you in just a few moments, and for no charge. good luck!

Lost code for 2006 ridgeline

If the code is not written on the radio casing or inside the glove compartment (or similar place inside your car ) then the majority of HONDA codes are only available from here

https://radio-navicode.honda.com

You will require the car VIN number and Radio serial Numbe

If they cannot provide your code then you will have to try your HONDA Main Dealer .....or a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

Service records are updated. Was in for service 3-08-09. Oil is very clean, no leaks and drives smooth. Car only has been driven 96 miles since smogged 7/08. Has currently 111,200 miles.

hi,maintenance service is important special with new car,for warrant procedure, now since your car is out of warranty it is your decision, since your car is not in severe service or use, maybe extent your service, but if you use a synthetic oil base on your engine, pls. follow your service schedule,ty

2007 Honda Accord--battery died now radio and clock don't work

Hi. Jumping the battery when the radio is turned on will often cause a problem. I would check the fuses for the radio first as one of them may have blown. Regarding the clock it is blinking and needs to be reset.

Since this is a relatively new car I recommend going to a book store and purchasing the service manual for Honda which includes the 2007 models. This will you how to reset the clock. Then keep the manual in the glove compartment for all future reference.

Good luck.

Lost radio code for blaupunkt

Consult the garage you purchased the car from = most keep a record (funny how often they have to look up radio codes .. every time they service the car, in fact) = if they don't have a record of the number, they can get it from Peugeot.

PS if you don;t get your car serviced at that garage, you can expect be be charged for it ..
