The door code for your 2008 Mercury Mountaineer is located (3) places:
    1) On a card in the glove box that came with the vehicle( if you had it, you would be asking)
    2) Electronically "inside" the SJB (smart junction box) or commonly called the computer module. This will require you to pay the dealership $$ to pull it for you (booo.)
    3) LASTLY....For this doubters this is true for a 2008 model year...IT IS PRINTED ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE Computer module located on the drivers side, under the dash to the bottom left, behind the foot pedal mechanism for the emergency brake.

Here's the tricky part....the printing is on the left of the computer module housing which faces the inside of the vehicles from fender. You need to get a mirror behind it to see the numbers or stick you cell phone camera between the fender and the module and start clicking until you get a picture of it. That's what I did. Trust me .it's there.

2008 mercury mountaineer push on gas and a pic of engine and a tool like a wrench appears. truck jerking and push on gas act like it do not want to move

Take a trip into one of the bigger autoparts stores like autozone, Pep Boys etc.,in your area. They will scan for trouble codes free of charge to determine where problem is. Without that scan, you'll be wasting money guessing and throwing parts on that don't need to be replaced. If it's not obvious from scan codes what the problem is, get back to us with the code(s) and we will further assist you.

I got an P0442 emission control system leak (small leak) error code on my 2008 mountaineer. but it come gas capless....what could it be?

Not sure if you mean you do not have a gas cap or not. But if you do not have a gas cap, that is why you have the P0442 code and the check engine light on. The gas cap is part of the emissions system, it has to hold a vacuum. If it does not that is your "small Leak"...

Need a key code

Hello plymouth7265, my name is JShreader. Thank you for choosing

The Key Code for this Vehicle is located inside the Passenger Door Panel. You will need to remove the Panel to get to it. You will see the Code on a White Sticker on the Door Metal on the other side of the Window Brackets.

I hope this helps you. If you have any more questions or need any more diagrams, please don't hesitate to ask...Thanks again, JShreader!

Entry code om drivers door

The keyless entry module is located in the rear of the vehicle on the driver's side. You will need to partially remove the left rear panel in the cargo area. You will then see the keyless entry module bolted behind a metal reinforcement bar. There is a sticker on the module that has the 5 digit entry code.
