The easiest way to replace the bulb is to take out the whole lamp assembly and replace the bulb then place the whole assembly(both left/right lights). This may even require removing the bumper if you dont have the right tools or very small hands. ---------- 1. Remove the plastic cover across the top, front area above the headlight assemblies.
2. The first bulb connector you see is the turnsignal lamp assembly; turn it 1/4 turn CCW and pull the bulb/connector assembly out of the way.
3. There is a plastic dust cover that is approx. 4" dia on the back side of the headlight assembly. Turn this 1/4" CCW and lift off and out of the way.
Here's the part that gives people trouble. Hint: Take a small mirror . Slide it down behind the headlight so as to get a good picture of the spring clamp that holds the bulb/connector in place.
4. The spring clamp is bent over to form a tab of sorts. The two ends are placed in metal tabs to act as a hinge or pivot for the clamp. Using a thumb or index finger, press the top corner of the bent portion forward toward you and down at the same time to disengage the clamp from the catch. It really is that simple.
Pull the bulb assembly out and pull the bulb from its holder. Replace bulb and reverse the procedure.
Be patient, look at the bulb assembly and holding clamp with the mirror before you start and read the instructions above.
----------- Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

How to remove a front bumper off a Toyota celica 1996

1. The sides of the bumper are held to the body with a single screw/bolt. Take these out.
2. Open bonnet
3. You will now see several 10mm bolts holding the bumper to the main body. These need to be taken out.
4. The sides (just underneath the headlight) are held in place by white plastic clips. Carefully pull the sides away from the clips.
5. From the front carefully pull the bumper out from the main body.

How to remove front headlight assembly

1 Open the RAV4's hood. Locate the back of the headlight assembly, just behind the headlight. You should see a ring-shaped plastic cover.

  • 2 Turn the locking plastic ring clockwise about 1/2 inch and it should pop off.
  • 3 Remove the rubber grommet covering back of the headlight. Simply pull it out of the headlight assembly.
  • 4 Depress the spring latch holding the bulb in place behind the headlight. This is a wire latch that looks somewhat like a bent paper clip. Press it down and move it to the side, away from the light bulb. It should come free and flip open, freeing the bulb.
  • 5 Disconnect the light bulb from the plug. Replace it with the new light bulb, and replace the latch and rubber grommet. Replace the plastic ring cover and turn your headlights on to ensure proper installation.

Can you help me change my headlight assembley? i have a 97 200sx SE

1.) Pop the hood to your Nissan. The headlight assemblies are only accessible from the engine compartment.

2.) Clear the area behind the bulb you are replacing. If you are replacing the passenger side bulb, you will need to remove the radiator overflow bottle. The bottle will unhook from its connective tube by pulling it toward the front of the car and up from the ground. If you are replacing the driver's side bulb, you may need to remove the battery. You will do this by unscrewing the positive (red) and negative (black) terminals that connect the battery to the engine, and then lifting the battery straight out of its housing.
3.) Remove the electrical connection on the back of each headlight assembly. This will be a bundle of wires with a wide plug sticking into the back of the assembly.
4.) Unlatch the plastic clip holding the headlight assembly case in place.
5.) Pry the small metal clip holding the bulb using your fingers or a screwdriver. Be careful not to bend, break or damage the clip or the bulb.
6.) Insert the replacement bulb into the headlight socket and reattach the metal clip that holds the bulb in place.
7.) Relatch the plastic clip holding the headlight assembly case in place.
8.) Reconnect the electrical connection to the back of the headlight assembly.
9.) Replace the radiator overflow bottle or the battery, depending on which bulb you replaced.

How do i change the low beam headlight in my 2006 pontiac g6 gt

There are 2 white retainer clips behind the headlight. Pull these up and out and remove the lamp. Light bulbs are twist and turn pull out and replace without touching the bulb. Open the end that plugs in and use the plastic bulb came in to hold and push in. Replace lamp the same way removed. Place headlight in mount panel and put retainers over the h/l tabs and push down. Do this carefully these are plastic and break east and are about 4.50 each. Thanks

How to replace our low beam headlight on 1999 town and country

1.) Open the hood of your van 2.) On the passenger side of the vehicle, look behind the headlight enclosure. You will see a set of wires running into the back of it. This is the power clip. Either with your hand or a flat-head screwdriver, pop the power clip off.
3.) There is a plastic ring encasing the light bulb. Turn the ring counter-clockwise and pull it out of the socket and set it aside.
4.) Pull firmly on the light bulb to remove it.
5.) Place the new light bulb into the same opening. Be careful not to touch the glass part of the new bulb. The oils in your skin can substantially reduce the life of the new bulb.
6.) Replace the plastic ring and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.
7.) Reattach the power clip to the back of the bulb.

1999 Honda Civic "DRIVER" Side Headlight Bulb Replacement.. I've been on the net and the solutions say: "Just Unplug the Bulb and pull it out" Obviously, they haven't "SEEN" a 1999 Honda Civic Driver Side...

Okay, 1999 Honda Civic, Headlight (Driver Side). If you haven't fixed this or just wanna know, this is what you have to do. The power steering pump is in the way of you getting to the bulb. You will need to remove the back tube of the power steering reservoir, the one closest to the cabin of the car. Plug this tube with a rag, quickly as fluid starts flowing immediately. Pull the res up and out of the holder it sits in. Now on to the light. Grab a hold of the black plastic clip (with wires) on the sides, and pull the electronic clip out of the light. Gently pull the rubber tabs for the weather guards, and you should now see your old bulb. There is a metal clip that holds the bulb in place, gently release this metal clip, being careful to keep it in place. Makes the job easier when you put it together. Your old bulb can now be easily pulled out. I take the bulb at this point and plug it into the clip and test the lights. This assures me that the bulb is busted and a bigger job isn't ahead of me. Once confirmed, I place the new bulb in the headlight bezel, careful to not touch glass. Clip the metal hold down clip back in place. Put the Rubber grommet back in place, clip on the electrical wire clip. Test the headlight. Put power steering tubes back in place, place the res back on the holder, and done. The book and this site: helped me a lot!
