Question about 1995 Buick Roadmaster

2 Answers

95 Buick Roadmaster will not start. Everything appears to be "dead" , except the battery. Is there a master fuse or a circuit breaker that needs to be replaced?

The battery is new, so the connections are shiney. The cables are connected properly, red to +, black to -. The battery charger indicates that the battery is charged.

There is main fuse under the hood in the relay center or under-hood fuse center.

On a car from 1995, I would check the connections at the battery to make sure the side mounts are clean and shiny before assembling the battery to the cable ends.

This is if nothing at all works in the dash, lights, horn, starter, etc.

I don't think there is a master fuse or circuit breaker which needs to be replaced.

Look for a good connection of the positive lead to the starter. Sometimes that works itself loose.

BATT fuse dead short in 1995 yukon

You don't need to replace the fuse box , an you don't have a dead short to ground ! The fuse would blow ! You have a parasitic drain on that fuse . You need to go to http://bbbind.com/free_tsb.html free wiring diagrams an power distribution diagrams , see what all other fuse's are feed from that an pull them out one at a time till the draw stops. There are some good videos on youtube showing how to do this ! How To Perform Parasitic Draw Test EricTheCarGuy You'll need a DVOM !

Theft-deterrent relay or module . Do you B+ voltage at the 10amp crank fuse in the I/P fuse block . Go to http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html an see what all is involved in the starting circuit . Go to you tube an watch a few videos on basic electrical trouble shooting .

Battery wont hold a charge system drains it

Put a test light between the battery terminal and the battery cable. If it's draining it will be lit up. Start removing fuses till the light goes out. That's the circuit drawing the amps. Need some good feedback. hope this helps.

Fuse location for power windows 2003 Buick Century

There really isn't a fuse for just the power windows and if a fuse was blown that did control the power windows pretty much everything that the body control module works would not work so i believe what you would be looking for is the circuit breaker for the power windows. That circuit breaker is located in the instrument panel fuse block . You need to open the passenger door to see the fuse panel cover. Anyhow I don't have a picture but the circuit breaker is on the top row second one over from the left. I hope this helps and good luck.

Passkey light in the dash flashes and the car wont start on a 95 buick roadmaster

pull the fuse from the fuse panel on the left side of the dash. It can be accesed by opening the drivers door and removing the panel that is the left end of the dash. Pulling and reinserting the fuse will usually solve this problem. The other issue could be in the key itself. The pass key is simply a resistor built into your GM key.

Battery goes dead after car sits for 3-4 days

Parasitic drain? If so, did they run a test light on the negative terminal? Unhook the negative battery cable, run a test light between the negative battery post and the negative (removed) cable end. Does the light come on? If so, remove each fuse, one at a time, when you hit the circuit that is draining, the light will go off.

I have a 95 Buick Roadmaster and it was doing the same thing. It was a broken light in the trunk, the bulb was out, but the electricity was still there. The wire became damaged when my daughter overloaded the trunk. Just a couple of ideas...
