Question about 1986 Mazda B-Series

There is a wire coming off of the positive side of the coil that goes to what I think is a capaciter but have been unable to find the part. The wiring schematic shows a black wire coming off of the coil.

Yes its a capacitor to help with radia interference.

What is the hot side of the coil so I can hot wire to see if I can get spark also to check to see if coil still is goood

The wire that goes to the distributor is the ground side of the coil. The other side is the positive side. Be careful if you plan to connect 12 volts to this terminal on the car, as most cars have a ballast resistor between the 12 volts and the positive of the coil. If you connect 12 volts directly to the coil you may burn out the coil. You are better to use a multimeter to check the coil as that will not damage it.

Could anyone tell me or show me a diagram of which wires belong on each side of the ignition coil? 1985 Chrysler town and country Woodie wagon 2.6L-2 carbureted 4 cylinder Mitsubishi motor

The two wire coil will have a black wire to the negative side terminal and the other wire may be dark green or brown according to two different sources. Either way the black goes to negative and the other remaining wire goes to the positive side.

Where does the wire that comes from the negative side of the coil go too?

There is usually a wire from the coil that goes to the negative side of the coil while the positive side goes to the ignition switch. Without knowing more about your car and engine, that is the best info I can provide.

I have a black and a white wire going to coil on 1991 dodge Dakota which one goes on positive side

the wires that come from the ignition go on the + terminal of the coil. As most earth wires are plain black I would say the white wire to the + terminal and the black to the distributor

The wire that comes from your distributor hooks up to the Negative side of the coil. The other wire should be a switched positive that hooks up to the Positive side of the coil. It should be hot only when the key is ON or Start.

Sorry, don't have a diagram; but:-
The +12V supply end goes to an "+12V when Ignition on" source.
Note that the positive side of the coil also connects to "+12V when Start" source, to ensure maximum supply voltage to coil while cranking engine.

I need to find a wiring diagram for a 73 corvette on the coil

Look at the HEI distributor. You will see a rectangle shape coming out of the side of the coil cap. Observing it closer, you will see that there is abbreviations on it, raised up from the rectangular area.

BATT is Battery. This is where the thick Red wire goes. It comes from the starter, but doesw not receive power until the ignition switch is turned to the On position.

TACH is Tachometer. This is a wire smaller than the BATT wire, and is usually Brown in color, but color codes vary. May be Blue.

There are three flat blades, looking underneath this rectangular shape.
Flipping it back and forth, you can see that one of the outside flat blades, goes to the Batt wire.
The other outside flat blade goes to the Tach wire.
The middle flat blade goes to Ground.

the r terminal only has 12 volts on it when you are cranking the starter over. so the wire that goes to the r terminal goes to the plus side of the coil then the wire that come from the switch also goes to the coil this wire should have only about 8.5 volts on it when switch is in run position the r terminal puts 12 volt on the coil while cranking the motor over the when the switch is in the run position there is 8.5volt on the points so you don't burn the points out the diode kit i don't no why you need it unless the don't what any back feed volt to the r terminal in the run position so i would put it in line(series) with the r terminal wire the flow on the diode is from the -<- this side of the diode goes to the coil
