Click the link in blue. You will have a spring loaded tensioned pulley. Use a socket to pry the pulley over and take the old belt off and the new one on.

How do you replace the fan belt tensioner on a 2000 lincoln continental

I`m pretty sure your belt tensioner pully is just held on with a couple bolts.Remove your serpentine belt, your main belt.look at the pulley see where the bolts are that hold it on and remove them. They are spring loaded so when u take it off make sure you have the new one to put on because once you remove it ,it is no good and have to put the new one on.

What would make a 1999 Lincoln over heat I've

First the fuel pump would have nothing to do with the overheating.

Those cars I believe have electric cooling fans.. Make sure they are turning on when the engine is hot. If not check fuses and connections to the fan/fans.

1999 Lincoln Continental has a loud squeak in steering mechanism during cold weather. Seems to be located on drivers side.

The belt may be slipping on your power steering pump or the pump itself is stiff and failing due to the fluid being low or old and in need of replacement. Check the fluid level in the pump. If the steering is still functioning fine and just squeeking, then simply tightening the belt may solve the problem.

How do you get the serpentine belt back onto a 1999 lincoln continental? we can't figure out how to put slack in the belt to get it back on the alternator.

there is a belt tensioner pulley you must lever back to produce the slack needed to slip on the belt. There is a socket type cutout behind the pulley. put in the appropriate size ratchet handle or breaker bar and move tensioner arm back against the spring tension on the pulley. slip on belt making sure the grooves of the belt are in the pulleys correctly

How do you reinstall rear seat cushion

It slides toward the back then up. There is two hooks, one on each side. Push toward the trunk then it should come on out. Then make sure something isn't blocking it from going back in. Then put the back in first and push toward the trunk and down til it hooks.
