Question about 1986 Ford Ranger 2WD
I would take off the gas cap and listen when you turn the key on. You should hear the pump run for about 5 seconds. If you don't hear it then I am sure that the fuel pump is bad. Very common. But if you hear it. Then you can take some starting fluid and spray a small amount in the air filter. Then try to start it. If it starts, then it is for sure a fuel problem. If it doesn't start then, it is something electrical.
Good Luck! I hope this helps! If so PLEASE vote! Thanks!
