Clutch has no pressure

If it has a hydrolic clutch, the slave cylinder may be bad. There may also be a leak in the system. There should be a seperate master cylinder for the clutch system if it has a hydrolic unit.

There's a problem with your clutch hydraulic system, either the clutch master cylinder or the slave cylinder. See if the reservoir is full (takes brake fluid), and if very low, may have a leak and should be bled down at the slave cylinder. And check for external leaks, as that is likely the cause of brake fade. If no external leaks, and filling the reservoir did not help, then either the master or the slave has a seal that is not holding pressure, but leaking internally.
I don't know if there is any way to test to see which is bad, so you might try a new or used slave cylinder first, it's cheaper than the master.

Clutch will not disengage

You should have a hydrolic system that is operated with a clutch slave(on the side of the trans) it could be leaking fluid or a clutch master cylinder under the hood next to the firewall. Check the reservoir and see if it is full with brake fluid. If not look to see if the clutch slave or the clutch master cylinder is leaking. Replace and bleed the system just like you would your brakes.

First gear selection problem.Sometimes goes in easy but sometimes not at all until I pump the clutch a couple of times.Mechanic says its not hydrolic fault but believes it to be a syncromesh problem,What...

Not a transmission problem. Sounds like the clutch isn't disengaging which could be caused by anything from a bad slave or master cylinder to a bad pressure plate release mechanism. First make sure that the reservoir is full of fluid, if not check for leaks. Then I would try to bleed the system at the slave cylinder. If the slave cylinder piston is moving properly but the clutch doesn't disengage you have a bad pressure plate.

Mazda e2200 clutch repair: feels like I still have some kind of pedal springback, but without much force. No clutch at all. I assume it is hydraulic, but the only reservoir I see is for the brakes. That is...

Yes, hydraulic--check again--fender side of brake master. Slave is usual cause of leak that eventually causes master reservoir to go dry and start drawing air. Check slave for leak. If leaking, replace slave and bleed system. Make sure to bench-bleed slave before installation by opening bleeder and pouring fluid into line port.

  1. Raise and support the front end on jackstands.
  2. Back off the flare nut on the fluid pipe to free the slave cylinder hose.
  3. Pull off the hose-to-bracket retaining clip and pull the hose from the bracket. Cap the pipe to prevent fluid loss.
  4. Unbolt and remove the slave cylinder.
  5. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the bolt to 12-17 ft. lbs. (16-23 Nm).

Clutch pedal goes up and down feels very loose but wont let me select a gear

Can you put it in gear with the engine off? You could have a broken clutch fork, failed master/slave cylinder, hydrolic leak, or a busted throw-out bearing. If the clutch fluid is full you know you don't have a leak. Some Fords use the brake fluid reservoir for the clutch master cylinder. If you can see your slave cylinder, have someone push the clutch while you look for movement. If it moves about one inch then you'll be taking the transmission out to replace the clutch and/or throw-out bearing.

How to adjust clutch

your clutch is hydraulic and no adjustment is possible. If the clutch is not releasing, the likely cause is a leak in the slave cylinder that might have caused the reservoir to dry up and allow air into the master cylinder. Check the reservoir and, if dry, check the system for leaks. Repair any leaks and bleed the system of air. If you have more questions, please let me know

Clutch pedal not diengaging the clutch

You need to check the slave/master cylinders for leaking. Loose pedal means there is no liquid inside, clutch is bleeding. Look under the vihicle for leaks and floore inside tha cabin.
Hope that helps
Good Luck
