U can do this, use a B&M brand cooler, use a kit for your truck if availiable get one with screw in hose fittings, never use hose clamps on an oil cooler if u can avoid it, if u choose to use clamps check them and tighten them as ness at every oil change. try the link below for a cooler.

my step dad had the same problem they said it was glow plugs but it was the cables to the glow plugs were messed up after that it runs great

Change the master cylinder on your booster. had the same problem with early 90's ford ranger. The pistons inside the master cylinder are probably worn...... Make sure to bench bleed the new master cylinder....

Can a Perkins 4.300 engine be fitted in a matbro teleram 40d.


Perkins aren't my favourite engines - some were fairly good hard working and reliable but some were awful. Shelvoke and Drewry (SD) used Perkins and I have never been in a noisier vehicle. My biggest grouch about them was they never used a single bolt where three smaller bolts would do the job - the pressed steel covers never seemed quite up to the task of keeping oil inside, the cylinder heads were slender to say the least and manifolds seemed to hang on more by magic than any substantial mechanical method.
The 4.300 is now getting on in years...

Any engine can be made to fit into almost anything depending on the engineering capabilities of those who are carrying out the conversion.
The important thing about any conversion is to ensure the replacement engine will be able to satisfactorily do the work, especially when being fitted to a work-horse. Studying the torque and power output graphs of the former and proposed replacement and hopefully finding them similar at similar speeds should be a priority.

It should be borne in mind two identical diesel engines can have very different characteristics depending on the injection equipment setup. There is a world of difference between the setup for a truck engine intended for local town and country deliveries and a full-rated truck or coach engine intended for main road work.
Replacing the injection pump and injectors for a different setup is an expensive business...

What year is my MF 40 with 3cyl perkins diesel engine And what the engine number would be, trying to find a injection pump for it. Thanks


3 cylinder Perkin diesels were used for a long period of time in MF units
the mPN is HTS0391- alternate numbers -3639020M1
any accredited diesel specialist shop will be able to get you one or be able to repair and recalibrate your unit
you can mention that it is out of a MF tractor but the details that you want are a 3 cylinder Perkins engine
The original brand is CAV but there are other makes available

Oil sump filling up with diesel in perkins 4203 engine


First thing to check (and easiest) is the fuel lift pump fitted to the back left side of engine when viewed from the front. This is the fuel pump that 'lifts' the diesel from the tank. It is driven from a cam on the engine via a lever on the pump that operates a diaphram. If this diaphram has a hole in it diesel leaks into the engine while still having enough pump force to operate normally. These are cheap enough to replace - whole unit for 20quid. Could also be the CAV Fuel pump that is on front right side (behind timing cover) that has the 4 solid pipes coming from it that feeds the 4 injectors. This is a complex piece of kit that is expensive to replace, cheap to buy a rebuild kit for (PARTS4ENGINES.COM). If the engine is running OK then these would be the two places I would check first. If the engine is running like a bag of nails could be as bad as a cracked cylinder liner.

Power steering pump return hose from steering box assembly diagram for a F250 ford


1999 F250 diesel. POwer steering fluid "pours" out of the trk when the steering wheel is turned. Does not leak when at rest, fluid coming out between the steering box and frame....is the a hose inbetween there or is it a possible cracked box (bolts are tight on frame)

Diesel Serpentine Belt


I have never heard of a spare pulley on an engine. If everything is working, (alternator, water pump, power steering, AC compressor ) then I guess I would not worry about it. The only other thing could be that some one placed a belt on the truck just to get it by until they could get a correct belt to fit. They are routed on top and below pulleys and it is possible to skip a pulley temporarily if you get a smaller one to get you by until the correct one can be located. Good luck

No adjustment, sound like gearbox has failed, be sure to flush power steering system before installing new gearbox.
