I currently have a 1998 Toyota Tacoma, and the clutch pedal does not return all the way. I know it is not the clutch, it is actually the spring located underneath the pedal. It is catching and not releasing after pushed.... Hope it helps.

disconnect the negative battery terminal, align the steering wheel and wheels are stright, loose air bag if equiped or horn pad on rear of steering wheel, watch the yellow wire be carefully, remove horn pad or air bag, loose the 19mm nut in steering wheel, using a t type extractor pull of the steering wheel

Yea as long as they are both manual transmissions everything will bolt up the same.If you use your old transfer case you will still have push button.
