FOR A MECHANICAL FUEL PUMP.BACK WHEN I WORKED ON OLDSMOBILE WITH MECHANICAL FUEL PUMP.WHAT I WOULD DO IS REMOVE FUEL LINE AT CARBURETOR AND PLACE A T IN THE PRESSURE HOSE SO THE FUEL LINE CAN BE CONNECTED TO THE CARBURETOR AND THE PRESSURE GAUGE.I WOULD DISABLE SPARK IGNITION THEN CRANK ENGINE OVER TO GET FUEL PRESSURE READING.
