If you lost the ignition key, don't take the ignition apart to have a key made. Just take a door lock out and have a key made for that.
It is not hard. You just remove the cylinder, get a blank, insert it, mark the depth, make marks where the tumbler plates are, and use a rat tail file to cut away until the tumblers are even with the cylinder when the key is inserted. It won't be double sided, but it will work fine. And a double sided key can be made from it.

SOURCE: how to get key barel

The procedure is as follows:---First of all remove the lower plastic cover .There will be two screws this will give you access to barrel holder. Place the key in barrel and there is a small pin that you have to press in with a small pointy object. You can use straightened paper clip when you have pushed in the pin turn key to acc then pulling on the key the barrel will be easily come-out. Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Need fuse diagram for ba?

Howdy howdy John Mullins,

Thanks for adding the 2003 CLUE... that verified what I was suspecting: I am guessing the "BA" FORD nomenclature is pretty obscure ... I had to LOOK that part up... also "Utes"... Cute!

Now I am understanding "BA" to be a series of "Falcon" Fords
indigenous to DOWN UNDER typically between 2002 and 2005
(or 2003 to 2008... else where on the internet).

Being a life long FORD owner... I can tell you for certain FORD Factory manuals were/are available from the dealers... Being old fashioned... I like the hard copies (and have too many cars not to be self reliant)... and they all have the wiring diagrams, circuit drawings... schematics FOR SURE (Volume 3 of 3 on my '04 Navigator & Volume 3 of 5 on my '75 Ranchero).

You are going to like the last (Cabulture AU, local) option the best... eBay.

My 06 ford escape will not turn all the way off and will not let me get the keys out of the ignition. What could be the problem?

General advice: Unlock button future ,near the ignition barrel (if apply).Unlock press key in/rotate for complete sequence future (if appply).Worn ignition barrel, worn key.Using wd40 is a luck shoot, yet u will have to corect diagnose the problem to avoid getting stucked on the way.Further more:Locked steerwheel ignition barell antitheft lock pin,may need to shake the stearingwheel a bit to release the key.Worning:excesive force on key may brake the key in.Hope u deal it.

Key just keeps turning in barel & doesnt connect,no reds r on

bad ignition is the problem. if it slides out of column the key and barel that is look in side the column you'll see gear teeth those teeth need to move forward if the key is just spinning the tumblers are bad a screw driver to push the teeth forward would start the car if you had barrel out so i would replace it i hope this helps you

The key gets stuck in the ignition sometimes it turns and other times it doesn't. could it be the transponder?

The first thing to check is to carefully examine the ignition key. If it is worn down, or even slightly bent, get a new key cut. If you don't have a key in good shape to copy from, your Toyota dealer can cut one, if they know your VIN number. If your key looks good, the most likely suspect is your ignition lock cylinder. You can try lubing it with a little graphite lock lube, but no WD-40 or anything!

My key broke off in my 95 Ford Ranger ignition, how do I get it out? the switch just keep turing when I try to turn off the vehicle.

If the lock just keeps turning the cam inside the steering column is broken. Bigger problem than just a broken key. If you can't get the engine to turn off, use a thick towel to "smother" the engine air intake, then disconnect the negative battery cable. You will need a tow truck to take the vehicle in for repair so you might want to drive it to the shop before you do this.

I have 2 keys for my BA FORD. But only one of them will start it .The key turns unlocks the wheel but will not start the engine

That key is most likely what they call a valet key. The chip in it has not been programed so it wont interface with the onboard computer. Unfortunately Ford gets close to $100.00 to program it.
