Unless the mass air flow sensor has failed the isn.t any maint interval to change it. use it until it fails replacing it when it is working will not improve performance or fuel mileage

Would a problem be caused to use a 2003 Suzuki Esteem Mass Air Flow Sensor on a 2002 since it seems to be working great

They have to be exactly the same part electrically, etc

No way to know that unless the part number & application is the same

Your cars pcm won't have proper air flow readings if you don't
have the correct sensor

Are they the same,Don't know, that is up to you to research

Where are the O2 sensors? I found one directly behing the spark plugs on the back.

The O2 sensor (2 on V engines) are in the exhaust system pipes before the catalytic converter, the next sensor is the efficiency monitor for the catalytic converter system it looks like a O2 sensor but performs a much different function as far as testing goes. The codes you have follow.

P0420 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1
What does this mean? In most cases it means the catalytic converter is worn out and that is sensed by the catalyst monitor I spoke of earlier.

P0102 - Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input
Faulty mass air flow sensor
- Dirty mass air flow sensor (located in the air intake hose to the engine from the air cleaner)
- Dirty air filter
- Mass air flow sensor harness is open or shorted
- Mass air flow sensor electrical circuit poor connection
- Intake air leaks

Where is the mass flow sensor on a 2000 saturn sl2?

The Mass Airflow sensor measures the amount of air entering the engine. For EVERY vehicle that is equipped with an Mass Airflow sensor, it is located in the same place...in the air intake between the air cleaner and the throttle body.

2003 Sprinter 3500 2.7. Mass air code still after

P0100 OBD-II Trouble Code

Technical Description

Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Malfunction

Basically this means that there's a problem with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or circuit.

You will likely not notice any serious driving problems, but there may be symptoms like a general decrease in power or sluggishness.
Causes

A code P0100 may mean one or more of the following:

* The MAF may be disconnected, or a wiring connection may be bad.
* The MAF sensor may be faulty.

Possible Solutions

Use an OBD II Reader (or go tou your local parts store and they will for free) and reset the code and see if it comes back.
Then start with the cheapest, easiest repair procedures:

* Check the Mass Air Flow Sensor wiring/harness is connected properly and that there are no broken / frayed wires.
* Unplug and reconnect the MAF wiring harness a few times to clear the contacts.
* Check the voltage of the MAF sensor (refer to a repair manual for vehicle specific information).
* Replace the MAF sensor.
