Not sure I am following your post but it sounds like you are having problems with the key in the ignition?
if this is true there it has nothing to do with your key fob
instead, the inability to remove the key from the ignition is because the tumbler is failing or failed
additional causes can be due to failing shift lock actuator
If however, you mean the door, then that is purely a lock solenoid concern, but I doubt that is why you walked home
