Question about 1988 Ford F 250
Hi Trinity, that black plastic housing is the switching valve for the fuel tanks and sometimes they do have a filter in them . In order to diagnose the true problem you need to run the truck until it shuts down and then see if you have fuel and pressure at the fuel rail on the engine,if you do then, you need to check for ignition spark at the spark plugs if no spark check for voltage at the ignition coil then repair as needed
