Question about 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Mine is doing the same thing. i was told that the module went out and has to be replaced. but they are not made anymore. so i am off to the wreaking yard to find one. my jeep guy said that the systems are getting old in these jeeps and starting to wear out. so my Q is what we should just throw them out and pay an arm and leg for a new rig. well that just sucks i love my jeep.

SOURCE: CAN'T BY PASS SECURITY ON
Hello: On you computer type in how to by-pass the VATS system. If you follow the step by step procedures your car will start unless you have problems other than the Pass Key 1 system. ie: fuel or ignition. You have to troubleshoot a problem before you can repair it.

check your starter wire as mine was loose and did the same thing every time you interupt power to the alarm system it will flash the lights unlock the drivers door with the key and this will rearm the alarm and the jeep should start up if this is the problem rember to have good battery conections and a good batt first or else this will keep hapening also after 20 starts you may have to do the key thing again

SOURCE: jeep cranks but will not start.
sounds like you are experiencing electrical problems which have to do with your computer in your car and its ability to send signals all through out the engine. you have a loose connection in one of your wires somewhere possibly in the wiring harness. check that.

The process for the passlock relearn is correct. If by chance the relearn does not work, you may have a fail component in the system. Go to this link for options to fix this yourself.
