I had this problem at 50,000 miles you sending unit in the trailblazer is electronic unfortunately. I only ended up paying 130 for mine and a dealership is the only place you can get it you have to drop the tank to replace it. But be careful the housing for the sending unit is sensitive and can go on the fritz if you are not careful

There isn't one. If the gauge isn't working, then the gauge sending unit in the tank is bad. You can get the sending by itself online. Otherwise you have to replace the fuel sending unit. several hundred dollars.

Fuel Gage

this problem is caused by a defective fuel gauge sending unit, the sending unit is inside the gas tank, you must drop the fuel tank out of the car to replace the sender, it is part of the fuel pump module.

After just fueling up my 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer 4x4, the fuel gauge started going erratic and now sits on "E" and the low fuel light is on. Anyone know what this could be?

could be your sending unit in the tank which then float is broken and sitting on the bottom of the tank or an electrical problem, bad wire.

Fuel gage doesn't work

I went to a dealer, they replaced the fuel level sensor (p/n 19177712 SEN KIT 3.107 $118.62) with labor $270.00 for a total of $398.86 this appears to have fixed it for now.

khooper, in another forum, told me that "Chevron Techron Fuel System Treatment Plus can remove harmful sulfur deposits from the sending unit and a filmer agent that can prevent the deposition of said sulfur"

I also talked to another mechanic who blames ethanol for these deposits !
