You can try to have someone push down on the hood as you pull the release.

Can't open the hood by pulling hood release

Cable is stretched/sprung. Access hood release panel and pull cable with channel locks.. or worse, something is stuck in the latch mechanism under hood.
See repair rep at Ford in any case.

Hood does not open

The latch could be stuck or the cable broke. You might try bumping the hood with someone pulling on the release.
Otherwise you may have to remove the grille to access the latch.

I CAN'T OPEN THE HOOD WHEN I PULL THE CABLE, WHAT CAN I DO TO GET THE HOOD OPEN

Sometimes hoods just get stuck, first thing i would try is---This will take two people, one to pul the hood release inside the other on the out side to push the hood down and let go in the middle were it latches, do this a the same time.. if this works then you need to oil the latch...
if not you may check to see if the cable came off inside the car at the handle. you may have to pull it with pliers....Hope this works for you??

My hood got stuck and i cant open it how do i open it help

Common problem. Have someone pull the release while you bang on the edge of the front of the hood with the heal of your hand, keep on the edge as you can dent the hood very easy. it will pop open then spray the latch with WD40. Let me know if this works.

My temperature control is stuck on heat...no

Go to an autoparts store and see if they carry a temperature control valve. When you see it you can find out if it has a cable or vacuum control to operate it. Then you can have someone move the dash controls and see if anything moves under the hood. If it is a cable and does not move the cable is broke or unhooked under the dash. If it is vacuum controlled a vacuum line is wrong and keeping the valve open.

Opening hood on 1992 Ford Explorer

I had the same problem with my hood. I had that handy wire hanging out of the front but it didn't want to release the hood. The cable was jammed and the hood had to be manually released via ratchet. After you can get the hood open maneuver the cable under the plastic piece where the hood meets the grill to stop this from happening again.
