Theres a manual release to the left of the rear latch, might have to stick your hand in where your cover comes out. should be just a short cable you can grab onto and pull to open it. The clicking noise means it is working and just needs the cable adjusted.

87 Corvette, can not get MAF sensor code to clear even after changing sensor.

sounds like you have a broken/shorted wire somewhere along the way from the pcm to the sensor, if your good with testing wires, trace the wires from the maf back to the pcm or find a schematic and test the wires for an open or short to either ground or voltage.

1985 Fiero: headlight doors will not open

Your headlight motors are bad. Pre-87 cars had a terrible problem with this, upgrade them to the 87-up style. Firebird/Corvette motors are the same.

Back hatch of 2002 caravan

Lock &/or linkages probably seized. Try pushing in & out & using key to get it open, or keep trying button. When you do get it, You'll need to get lots of spray (penetrating) in & around those mechanisms. I took back cover off mine to get at it good. Let me know if you can finally at least get it open one way or another to get spray on that latch, and we'll go from there.

2002 FORD ESCAPE

Climb into the cargo area. The plastic panel is secured by 4 screws accessible only from the bottom edge of the hatch as well as about 10 clips. The object is to get your fingertips between the glass and the panel and pull inward (toward front of vehicle). The clips will pop loose if you pull hard enough. Once you have the panel pulled away, look for a whitish box with a plunger coming out the top of it. Move the plunger with your finger. I believe when locked, the plunger is out, and unlocked, the plunger is in. I believe you will find the solenoid coil has burned out and will need to be replaced. I can't believe Ford was so cheap to not include some sort of mechanical release like Chevy did on the Corvette hatch. I read this solution on another site yesterday and put it to the test tonight on my daughter-in-laws 2001 Escape, so I know it works. I don't think the later years are much different.

Hello If your vehicle has lost battery power, open the
hatch/trunk using the vehicle key. The key lock cylinder
is located on the rear of the hatch/trunk lid above the
license plate. Turn the vehicle key clockwise in the lock
That should get you in My dream Car LOL and Thank you for using Fix Ya Bear001
