Easiest way is to have someone turn key on while you listen at gas tank for a whining noise like a motor kicking on,if its working you will hear it kick on

1988 Pont. Bonn.3.8 replaced fuel pump, relay, and replaced blown fuse behind glove box still pump doesn't work. Gas gauge is pegged on full does this mean anything

Did you check proper voltage and ground at fuel pump connector before replacing anything? Check with engine cranking. The gray wire is fuel pump voltage. The black wire is ground.

Did you check the proper fuse for voltage. Use a test light to check voltage.

Did you check for applicable trouble codes? Your obd1, you should be able to check some codes, yourself, if there are any?

2004 malibu classic replaced fuel pump still not working

Did you replace the fuel filter? Are all the lines clear (no kinks)? Is the fuel pump proper aligned to the cam and the follower in the proper position? Check all these things, you'll probably find your fault.

Fuel pump not working

First check where your fuel pump relay is then check it or have it checked to make sure it works proper. Then check all fuses in the auto to make sure all are good. If after all this checks ou and still no fuel pump sound from the tank if you stick you head close to the tank the pump can be heard. If you do hear a pump running this could be a sign your fuel filter needs changed it is clogged up. if no sound pull the fuel pump and supply 12V power to it on the ground away from the car and gas tank and after it has properly drained of fuel and dried. If this pump works on the ground you may look at your cam sensor. If while you are cranking your car and you see the rpm gauge move this means the cam sensor is reading if you see no movement at all change the cam sensor. Often when the cam sensor goes you may as well change the crank sensor as well to prevent repeating the down time of your car later on down the road.

Installed new fuel pump in a 1993 tempo, fuel safety switch ok, but fuel pump not working

Check the connector to insure it is functioning properly and check the relay (small black box) that feeds the power to the fuel pump. The relay panel will be under the hood.

My 2000 chevy S10 wont start I changed the battery and it ran fine for 2 days now it will turn over but won't start

Check Fuel Pressure. First turn key to on position (without starting) and listen for the fuel pump motor. If no motor sound, your fuel pump is not working. Check fuel pump fuse and relay. If fuel pump works, check for pressure at the fuel rail (schrader valve on fuel rail for pressure testing). If no pressure, or not enough, fuel filter might be clogged or fuel pressure regulator may not be working properly. IF fuel is not the problem, start checking electrical, such as ignition control and proper spark to plugs.

My fuel gage does not work properly it fluxuate to rapedly

The first thing that goes wrong in this kind of situation is fuel level sensor which is intergrated with the fuel pump, I recommend opening the fuel pump and checking the fuel level sensor might work properly after a simple cleanup or a new one. Hope it helps,

The fuel pump might work fine but the fuel sending unit might not work best way to check is to put some safety glasses on and press the little schrader valve on your fuel rail to see if you have pressure if no pressure then the sending unit isnt working properly
