Question about 1998 Ford Ranger SuperCab
Actually keeping your engine clean helps the engine. A dirty engine will cause the engine to work harder then it should and could cause over-heating issues. Just remember to always make sure the engine is cooled down and try not spraying water directly on electrical connections. If, at all possible, use plastic bags and such to cover the distributer or coil packs and the spark plug boots. Oh and make sure you take off the plastic before starting the engine or it will melt on it.
