On the 91-99 the blower motor is mounted fan side up motor side down directly above the front passenger's feet. I assume the 01 S is the same. Fan motor sticks out with 3 or 4 vertical screws holding it into the airbox. Disconnect the wires, unscrew the old one, stick a vacuum in and clean out what you can, then put the new one in reverse order.

This is very common i've done tons of these, its the blower resistor module, replace the blower resistor module and that will solve your problem. this part is located under the hood on the firewall on heaterbox, this costs about $200.00 for the part and heres a picture of it. hope this helps.f2aa535.jpg

2005, Grand marquis, aircondition works on max or regular AC setting, but fan only works on the highest setting, will not work on slower fan speeds

this is a smiple repair, replace the blower motor resistor, this is what controls the lower speeds and is very common,the resistor is locate in the heater box next to the blower motor.

Where the wires come out of the blower motor follow those wires to the module the module will be defective .. the modules are n
known to do this from time to time I've replaced about 30 of them in the last 10 years for the same condition..Good luck

the blower motor is out of your car that blows hot and cold air. get that replaced and this will fix your problem.

Well 1996-1998 blowers should work for sure. The BEST place I would recommend is a junk yard where you live, and shouldn't be expensive by ANY means.

Air condition blower

I have an 01 convertible lxi that just did the same thing..... You can go to an auto parts store or in my case, I went to Firestone and had them replace the blower resistor. My air now works on all settings.
