Question about 2007 Chrysler Sebring Sedan

1 Answer

My 2007 Chrysler Sebring has 102,000 miles on it. (I drive a long way to work) and I was just wondering given the miles, should I change the plugs, transmission serviced or any type of preventative repairs? I need to keep this vehicle running and want to treat it as good as possible. I have been changing the oil regularly and keeping the tires balanced and rotated. Anything else? I'm not having any issues, just wondering.

Hi if you have not all ready done so then i would get the plugs and plug leads replaced, also get the air filter and fuel filter replaced, it would also be a good idea to go and buy some decent fuel line cleaner.

you can buy this from most filling stations and car spares shops a good brand to buy is called Red X you just pour it into your petrol tank and it then works its way around the whole fuel system and it cleans it all, doing this improves mpg and ensures the injectors etc are working at their best its advised to use this product ever 2 or 3 months to ensure you engine is running at its best.

Also if your not having problems with the transmission then it would be a good idea to get the fluid and filter changed, if this has not been done for a while then this would be something that needs to to prevent ware inside the tranny.

other than that just keep an eye on things like the temp gauge but as your having no problems a good full service would do the car well as it has not let you down so having a full service done will keep you on the road a lot longer than not having it done

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

My 2007 Chrysler Sebring will not change gears.I get up to 20 miles and rpm reaches 3,and still gear won't change...Help!!!

First check you're trans fluid if that doesn't work then you should get it to a trans specialist because running it high rpm's is not only rough on the engine but also could hurt the trans even more

2007 CHRYSLER SEBRING 116000 MILES WANT GO FORWARD NOR BACKWARDS BUT DOES SWITCH GEARS AND MOTOR DOES RAISE UP.

If the car won't move but you can hear the transmission shift gears, something has broken where the drive axle shafts connect to the transmission.

I am about to buy a chrysler sebring convertible 2002 with 129000 miles. It has never had the timing belt replaced. Should I be concerned/

The recommendation is at 102,000 miles for the 2.4 and 2.5L engines. I would be inclined to visually inspect the belt for any signs of fatigue and if absent wait for while longer. The 2.7L has a timing chain(s) so nothing needs to be done for it.
Thanks,
Lee

What type of Maitainence is required for a 2007 Crysler Sebring 60 - 70k miles?

The following is the scheduled mainainence per Chrysler at 60,000 miles:

1. Change engine oil & filter
2. Air cleaner filters
3. Rotate tires
4. Check spare tire pressure & stowage
5. Change automatic transaxle fluid & filter
6. Engine coolant flush (every 60 months or 102,000 mile whichever comes first)

I hope this helped and good luck

When Should I Change The Timing Belt On My Chrysler Sebring 2.4 2007year

The factory calls for every 90,000 miles. Do not exceed this as this is an "Interference Engine" and if the belt fails it will cause severe engine damage.

Check engine light on, car RPM stays at 1000 even at a stop, spark plugs jsut replaced when issue started. Vibrating when stopped or accelerating, added dry gas and then added fuel injection cleaner. 2.4L...

One of the easiest and cheapest ways to know for sure, or at least a good idea of where problem is, would be to stop at one of the big autoparts stores and ask for free diagnostic code scan. They will usually do it free, and if that doesn't point you in right direction, get back to us with those codes that were retrieved, and we will gladly help you out.

Getting ready to purchase 2002 chrysler sebring. Took it for a 15 mile test drive and the oil light kept flashing and the car made a ticking noise the whole time. Any ideas? It has 102,000 miles.

Recommendation... Do Not purchase an 02 chrysler sebring! While it is a cute car and looks nice, they have consistently been rated as one of the worst vehicles based on expense of shop repairs, and also rated one of the worst vehicles for amount of time spent in shops. The oil light flashing is a sign that the car should not be driven due to not enough oil in the vehicle, any owner who overlooks that light, especially when trying to sell it, has obviously not taken very good care of it, therefor another reason.. NOT to by a chrysler sebring.

Oil light on while driving 2002 Sebring

2.7 ? This motor has oil problems if not changed every 3000 miles. Put a chrysler filter on it and the correct weight of oil, never use a fram oil filter.
