I have a 1980 GMC 3/4 ton stick shift truck and this past week my truck seems like its stalling as it drives. i had the oil and fuel filter changed this past thursday and it keeps stalling.

Car is in limp in mode unless you have the tools to work on automatic transmission you will need to take it to a transmission shop. Of course you can check oil level but I suspect you have other issues.

the box has to come out im afraid, but do not replace the gear, just the baulk ring,as a matter of interest we used to take out the whole engine/ transmision as a unit (easier to work with on a stand.)
