Check to see if your fan is coming on, replace the fuse located underneath the drivers side steering wheel. Next, replace the fan clutch if your fan is not cooling. Look for white smoke coming out of the exhaust or missing coolant from your radiator. You might have a head gasket problem. Look for oil in the water and water in the oil.

My 2004 lincoln lx runs hot I have replaced the thermostat, hoses and it continues to use antifreeze and runs hot, Some days it won,t run hot at all what could be the problem ?

It sounds to me like a waterpump. You can check it by wiggling the pump pulley or start the motor and watch if the pump pully has any side to side movement, if so then it is bad

After sitting that long replace thermostat and refill with new coolant. Also make sure waterpump is turning when car is running. A glazed belt or seized waterpump is a possibility.

Noticed my car was running hot. Checked the coolant. It was real low so added coolant. Figured that would fix it. Now temp gauge stays in the middle or hot after driving. I can't see anything wrong. Never...

Possibilities; thermostat, radiator cap and or fan belt that runs waterpump. I'd replace the thermostat and radiator cap and check the belts.

My 97 Acura 3.2 TL starts to overheat and I also notice that the air gets cold when the heater is on. But when I begin to drive after stopping, the temp. goes back to normal and the air gets back hot...

Possible thermostat but more likely fan belt is slipping when idling causing waterpump to slow or even stop spinning. Tighten or replace fan belt that runs over waterpump pulley

Car runs real hot

Make sure to use OEM parts and drain the air out of the cooling system. The 3.5 especially is very touchy regarding OEM and aftermarket waterpumps and thermostats for whatever reason. Simple solution to bleed out the air is to drive the car 5-10 mins without the pressure-cap.
