You can go to your local Library, they usually have automotive manuals (Chiltons, Haynes, etc.) that you can check out. Or, you can purchase these at your local auto parts store $10-$20. They are very useful to have on hand and provide decent photos.

SOURCE: Is there a way that I can reprogram a key fob

yes u can and here is the procedure.
1. Close and lock all doors with the driver’s side power lock/unlock switch.

2. Insert key into ignition and remove it from the ignition key cylinder at least six times within 10 seconds. Your Hazard
Lamps will flash if you have performed this step successfully. NOTE: Withdraw key completely from ignition cylinder
each time. If this procedure is performed too fast, system will not enter programming mode.

3. Insert key into the ignition cylinder and turn to the ACC position.

4. Within 5 seconds, push ANY button on the remote transmitter. Your Hazard Lamps should flash. NOTE: Do not press
the button more than one time in the above step. If the button is pressed more than one time, the programming
procedure will not be successful.

5. If there are any remaining transmitters (including the old ones), unlock then lock all doors using the driver’s side
power lock/unlock switch and within 5 seconds, push ANY button on the next remote. Your Hazard Lamps should
flash. Repeat this step for each transmitter (including any existing transmitters).

6. Turn the key to the OFF position, remove keys from the ignition, unlock doors using the driver’s side power lock/unlock switch and open the driver side door.

This will give you basic information. If you could get a scanner it would be easier to identify the problems because you may have more than one.

Vehicle missing,shaking,engine light comes on

Misfire could be a number of things:
a) spark plugs - change them if used over 15K miles - inspect/regap.
b) spark plug wires - change them if over 15K miles - inspect
c) ECM (electronic control module) - test with HEI (high energy ignition) tester.

The shaking tells me that the engine is running on less than its normal compliment of cylinders - the shaking is produced by the imbalance caused in the engine by one (or more) cylinder(s)
not firing at all.

The "Check Engine" light probably is coming on due the the misfire condition. Go to Pep Boys or
Advance Auto Pats, where they'll tell you (free) your codes causing the "Check Engine' light to be
lit - the code coming from your truck's computer will probably be one or more of:
P0300 - Random/Multiple Cylinder misfire detected
P0301 - Cylinder 1 misfire detected
P0302 - Cylinder 2 misfire detected
P0303 - Cylinder 3 misfire detected
P0304 - Cylinder 4 misfire detected
P0305 - Cylinder 5 misfire detected
P0306 - Cylinder 6 misfire detected
P0307 - Cylinder 7 misfire detected
P0308 - Cylinder 8 misfire detected
P0313 - Misfire detected with low fuel

I have 2003 nissan altima 2.5 ,I had a diagnostic test run and it says #2 cylindermisfire.

test the spark plug wire for ohms resistance, inspect the spark plug, test the coil for ohms resistance. run a compression test to see if it is the cylinder lost compression (valve job - cracked head or blown gasket)
Best regards

Service engine light came on went to auto zone they tested machine said number 3 cylinder misfire does this car take spark plugs because i dont see how to install them

It's probably not the spark plug. I would check the coil and injector. these two are the main cause of a single cylinder misfire. ps if the car is running fine now(not missing out) I would have the code erased and wait to see if it came back on.
